Gutter Pipe Leaf Wire Balloon 63-75mm

If like me you are in two minds whether these Wire Ballons are worth the cost, then I can say that having fitted 6 today to a variety of plastic & old cast iron down pipes, definitely YES! They are very well made and fit very well, much more adaptable than plastic leaf guards, which I have used in the past.

Good design and will probably fit most down pipes within the size range quoted. When fitted they trap leaves from entering the surface water drainage system. Be prepared to annually climb up to gutters and clean them as they can form an effective blockage to water in the gutters if dead leaves are not removed.

I bought these to place in the BOTTOM of my downpipes, to deter rats from entering - on advice of a pest disposal expert. I can't reach the tops of the downpipes and live next to woods, so they would clog up quickly at the top. They work better than I'd expected and don't fall out in the rain. I just remove the wire balloons now and again to remove leaves and then stick them back in - easy! This is the only product I found which would do this job. Only time will tell but I think the gaps are too small to allow rats through. Good product and cheaper than similar items on the market - thanks.

Great tool for small downpipes.Cage is small but fits thin drain pipes perfectly. Ideal for garage/flat roof drainage.Keeps the leaves and tree debris out allowing the rain water to flow through freely. I recommend.

What a great solution this device is for preventing pipes getting blocked by debris; also, it's METAL not plastic, which is rare now! and so much better both for longevity, sturdiness & fit. It was tremendous value for money and very straightforward to install.

This was a fiddle to fit where the clearance between the edge of the roof slates and the downpipe was rather tight. However, it can be bent and forced into place and then works well.

We bought these gutter downpipe wire balls because they had received a vast number of favorable reviews and so pleased we did purchase 6 of them. Fantastic product that fitted easily under our slates and the wire construction and the four wire "legs" meant they could be "wiggled" if necessary. Worth every penny.
