Buy this cd while it's available.
This is an excellent collection of 18 pieces of Kreisler playing Kreisler, without pops and crackles. The only fault is that one of the pieces is listed (twice) as "Liebeslied" (Love's Song) when it is actually "Liebesleid" (Love's Sorrow)! It is, nevertheless, an absolute snip at £2.05 including p&p from Hallmark. Strongly recommended.

This is a beautiful rendering of old favorites and as far as I am concerned it is a delight ! Very reasonably priced - an absolute bargain.

phrasing all his own.
I do not "love it"-- a sickening phrase but it is a recording of how he played as opposed to most of the others.He even wrote most of his smaller pieces "in the stile of" etc.himself.
