Several reviews have stated that they needed drivers for this dongle to work. Whilst I can’t comment on other people’s experience of this device, I can only think that they may need to update their Windows installation. I have used this device on my laptop (Win11), my desktop PC (Win10) and also my virtual pinball table PC (also Win10). Each of these was auto-detected and a full plug-and-play experience.Connection was effortless and worked first time, with good, stable reception of my home network wifi. You can’t really want much more than that. Can you?!For the seven pounds or so at time of purchase, this is a brilliant value for money accessory. Would I recommend it? Well, yes. Absolutely. In fact, this is the second one I’ve bought in the last twelve months and the first is still going strong.If you’ve read this far, just buy it. You won’t regret it.

You do need a cd/dvd drive to load the software but once that’s done the dongle is ready to use. Works very well with no problems.

Worked out the box on a raspberry pi without any need for drivers or setup.

Bought this for my PC so that it doesn't need to be connected via cable. Advertised as being capable of 600mbps on a 5GHz connection, but I can't connect at anything more than 150mbps. Other than that, it still works fine for any connections that don't need faster speeds. Was plug and play on my W11 set up.

great worked without me needing included driver disc which was good cus it was for a tablet with no disc drive on the tablet had built in wifi but wouldnt switch on when i removed the wf usb the connection wasnt there so it wasnt the tab wifi come back to life when i click aeroplane mode i get 2 options even though the tab one isnt even on hope that makes sense

Unfortunately I cannot really recommend this product based on my experience. It was packaged fine and seems to be acceptable put together however the LED to show network activity appears not to work (or no longer be present compared to the advert), the signal strength reception Vs other comparable devices in the same vicinity appears to be about half causing drop outs, and finally the manufacturing tolerances of the USB plug seem to be a little off making it difficult to insert. If it hadn't have been so low cost I would have returned it. I have given three stars basically for turning up !

My second laptop an i7 HP, started Blue Screening as soon as I moved to Sky as my Broadband provider. Dropped this USB WiFi dongle in and hey presto, no more issues. For the price an excellent device and it meant I did not have to bin the old laptop. Speed very good and size OK, Price perfect.

Worked when first plugged in to Windows 10 PC, found its own driver, reasonably fast. Stopped working in about a day. Loaded driver from CD provided, worked more slowly for about another day, speed dropping gradually, then stopped, locking up PC. I'm not spending any more time with this.
