This product I was going to use to hold my walking stick when on my Mobility Scooter. The size of ferrule on my stick is 42mm (1.654"). When I measured the I/D of the pipe it measured 39.98mm (1.58"). This is measured using a calibrated micrometer, yet it is advertised as being 42mm. The stick (including ferrule) will not fit down the tube, but the cardboard in which it was packed is just the correct size for the ferrule. I just need to give it a couple of coats of paint and some weather-proof varnish and it will do the job. The tubing will come in useful, however, as it will fit one of my other sticks which does not have a ferrule on it, so I do not need to return it. This is just to notify you to double-check the goods are as advertised! I am a regular customer of Amazon, and usually am very pleased with the quality of the goods you send.

This Acrylic tube arrived wrapped in a protective film inside a strong carboard tube. I got this tube for a quite unlikely application. For some time now I’ve been looking for a tube with just the right 31mm diameter to sleeve the main barrel of my kitchen tap. It’s a huge ~68cm tall tap I got via Amazon almost a decade ago. It’s developed a peculiar fault in that it weeps water through the chrome of the main barrel – weird, I know. It’s impossible to find one so tall these days unless I look for commercial equipment with the accompanying price tag, but I really like it, so I’m hoping that this tube will act as a strengthening and sealing sleeve when fitted with the right compound, either epoxy resin or silicone sealant. This is probably going to be a strange review for this type of product, due to the reason for the purchase. We look after wild hedgehogs in our garden and have a couple of feeding stations, which need to protect the hedgehogs from predators but also stop cats and our dogs from getting in to eat the food. We use plastic boxes with a hole cut out just big enough for a hedgehog and insert one of these pipes at either end, it makes the box safe for them to be able to escape through either end should a predator try to get in. This tube is absolutely perfect for the hedgehog feeding station. After reviewing this one, I will be another couple for the other box. It is solid and robust enough to protect the hedgehogs.

My tube measured exactly 44mm (ID) and 50mm (OD), ~12" long. Note that measurements in inches are off a bit, because of the up-rounded conversion factor the seller used in his approximation. If size is critical for your application, select your tube based on the metric measurements given!
