I review products for the Amazon vine program, and I received this product to review. This is a variety of acrylic style and water brush style paint brushes, as well as two foam brushes that can be used for all sorts of craft products. I am a beginner at watercolors and finally purchased an intermediate watercolor brush after several months of painting. I decided to test one of the watercolor brushes in this set against my $14 water color brush. Remarkably it did much better than I expected. It held a lot more paint and water than I imagined. As you can see in the photo where I show it in comparison with an expensive brush, the point on these inexpensive brushes is not great so it seems it would be difficult to do detail work. It did form a decent point when wet given how irregular the tip is. I have not tried the acrylic brushes and I imagine they'll be some difficulties with losing bristles, but I will definitely be using these for craft projects. When the grandchildren come to paint, these of the brushes they will use. I think the price point on these was remarkable and this is an excellent buy and I highly recommend it. I'm giving it four stars because none of these brushes would approach great quality, but for the number of brushes you get it's an amazing buy, and these will be useful.

Good quality assortment of paint brushes that did well with painting. Good size and thickness to the bristles which performed well with painting! Great value for what you get!

A more sophisticated painter might know at a glance, but it’s unclear from the package and individual brushes which bristles are for water-based paint (and all others, presumably) and which are only for oil-based. This line from the listing isn’t much help: “Soft horsehair bristles are suitable for watercolor, acrylic and gouache painting. Harder hog bristle bristles are suitable for oil and acrylic painting.” How about identifying the brushes by color, which varies considerably and more definitively than any variance in "hardness?"The brushes are good enough quality for casual painters. I chose them for detail work like window trim and the like because home stores mainly have larger brushes and if you’re lucky enough to find something smaller there, the prices are outrageous. I’ve now used several of these for this and craft purposes and, apart from the bristle confusion, I’ve been satisfied.

Offered by the Halobios Store. I use these brushes on finishing work for my wood art projects. These are a really good quality, with strong handles and no loose bristles. Clean up is easy, for many uses with one brush. Good deal at the $9.00 price point. I would order again when the time comes.

I am a painting novice and don't have that much experience with paint brushes. The ones that I do have are more geared towards children and the quality is questionable. The bristles would fall out and applying an even coat is more difficult. I am trying new hobbies and have been trying out painting with acrylic paint. I was seeking a paint brush set for acrylic paint and one that was well rounded and of good quality. I think this set meets what I was looking for and have been very happy so far. The paint goes on evenly and is overall easy to use. The bristles don't fall out either which helps the coat be applied evenly without marks. Cleaning them hasn't been difficult and rinsing them with soap and water gets them clean. The variety helps me paint big surfaces down to the smallest of spaces. Overall I am very happy with this set and happy with the quality, the variety and how easy they are to maintain.

this is a good assortment of cheap paint brushes at a decent price. perfect for kids, crafts and even professional painters like me. i'm hard on my brushes and often forget them in buckets of water for weeks on end therefore ruining them, so feel it's not worth spending a lot of money on nice brushes. using cheap ones makes me feel not so bad about ruining them. the flat brushes are my favorites and the ones i use the most so happy this set has many. if you are looking for super high quality brushes, these are not it but they aren't bad either and work perfectly fine for my purposes.
