Old rifle, new tricks!
I'm torn between 4 and 5 stars. The look and finish of the piece is superb. The holes are drilled in the correct spots for my old model 94. The one BUT is that the big fat screw at the front did not fit the threads of the hole in the receiver. I am not the original owner so I can't say for certain that a gunsmith has never monkeyed with it but the screw I removed sure seemed as stock/original as can be, so I don't know why the longer screw with the big head in my package would not thread in there. Ultimately, I just went out to the garage and sifted through my bins until I found a machine screw from a harbor freight nuts & bolts kit that seemed to have the right thread pattern. I cut my bolt to length needed and installed it. I used blue loctite on both screws. I also put some black electrical tape on the mating side of the piece to hopefully prevent marring of the receiver. Once said and done the piece is installed and it is SOLID. Very sturdy. Not a hint of flex to the piece itself or between it and the receiver. If you search amazon for that inexpensive green laser sight that comes with two mounts and the pressure switch... that kit looks VERY nice and holds very solidly in place with this piece on the rifle. I haven't tried it out yet but I am very excited to go sight it in. I think the deer are in big trouble this year...

Amazon-making the hunt cleaner
When your eye's are poor, you will need all the you can get. The Wideview See Thru Scope and might I add, a brand new Fitco scope fills the bill. With this hardware on top of my 30-30, I think, it don't look half bad. If you need it, you need it! Some of the comments I heard about the Wideview scope mount made me think at first, but the deals on Amazon were too hard to pass up. With a fixed 4 power Fitco scope also from Amazon, on top of my 30-30 Winchester 94 is the frosting on the cake. The Wideview side mount makes it easier for snap shots too, when the need comes up. It may take getting used to, looking to the side of the rifle but it is not really hard at all. They say practice make perfect. This combo sitting alongside my 3006 semiauto also with a Fitco 4 by 24 by 50 power scope actualy look like big brother and "lil" brother. For the safty of the hunt, you have to make sure of what your aiming at. So, what is wrong with seeing what your aiming at and not just pointing. Its called "gun safty".

Solid mount
I was a little doubtfull about this mount, since I had read somewhere that it wouldn't hold for long in my .3030 carbine, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I don't know if I did something diferent to the other people who used it. I mounted it to the riffle with the stock botls that came with it and I applied a little blue loctite to the tips of the bolts. The blue loctite lets you unscrew the bolts without the use of heat or excesive force if you ever want to disassemble it. Mine has been working for a year or so, it has never come loose and keeps the scope in it original position even after more than 120 rounds. So I have had a very good experience with this base and highly recomend it.

Elegant solution to the problem
Very nice quality product, that attached without any problems. I was initially worried about the fact that this mount off-sets the scope to the left about 1-inch. However, since I'm left-eye dominant, this actually makes it easier and more comfortable to use my left eye. Finish was very nice. My one suggestion would be to put some sort of film between the mount and the gun, in order to avoid marring the gun's finish in any way. I used a piece of scotch tape on the scope mount's inner face, where it meets the rifle receiver. I also used blue lock-tight on the screws, to insure the recoil when firing doesn't loosen the mounting screws over time.

didn`t fit my sears model 54
I ordered this mount for my Sears Model 54 (same as Winchester Model 94). The holes all lined up but the new screws are too small and the old screws are too short. I can`t even find any place to get the right size screws because the threads are so fine and the screws so small. I also got no instructions with mine either.

Good quality, but
This is well made and is assuredly good for the regular model 94. it should say that it wont fit the angle eject ones though because i bought tis to mout alaser on next to the scope of my angle eject but it doesnt have the rear screw needed to mount this one. should have been stated in the listing

Offset Scope Mount for Win 94
This mount is as described, 2 screws included and I had it mounted in less than 2 minutes. Perfect for my top ejection Winchester rifle. I then connected a 3X9 scope, really sweet! Mount finish is immaculate and durable. This is the first type like this I have seen for a Winchester Model 94 Carbine.

appreciation of craftmenship
I have several firearms that I am passing on to my son. I decided to scope these firearms. I chose the Wideviewscopes mounts as they fit my needs. I was so happy with my first purchase that I wanted a second unit for a different unit.the second unit would not fit. I contacted the company and Bonni helped me out and swapped my mount for the one I needed to complete my task. Thanks alot to Bonni and the company.
