English Pronunciation in Use - Intermediate

I'm improving my pronunciation with this book. I recommend!

Nice book

I found very helpful the variety of exercises, the diagrams and the overall organisation of the book. I found it helpful and enjoyable for working on my English pronunciation.

Cheap price and the book is like new

If it’s anything like the books “English Collocations in use” the content will be 5* but the print quality of the book is abysmal. I attach pics of the collocations book (bought last year) alongside the pronunciation book. The print shows through from the other side almost like tracing paper. The text is also slightly blurred. This does not give me much confidence in its longevity.

If you are thinking this is a book about speaking, pronunciation and accent you are wrong. There's a lot of stupid quizzes, exercises like placing objects from pictures to tables, filling sentences with correct words and stuff like that. It's not focused on speaking and pronauncination like suggest the title. It's covers that topic aswell but there are much better books focused on that like "Ship or Sheep?" or "Work on your Accent" from Collins. I'm dissapointed and not reccomend.

Excellent

This book is one of three. The fantastic three I call them. As a teacher, I found these books the best out there and I mean it literally for I have surveyed almost everything out there on this topic. One of its many strengths is its extremely useful divisions of topics in a very linear way that aids retention and recalls. I would however strongly advice to add three things to make them even more useful: 1- Make them multi colour books. Colour is a fantastic aid for memory retention, revisions and recalls. 2- Include short video clips with the free and helpful audios you already offer. 3- Perhaps an additional workbook to accompany each book.

I like Cambridge books, it’s always super helpful and insightful
