Very good, would buy again
This works for every part of the process for wiring Ethernet. The reason I have it 4 stars is that there isn’t any wire straightened on it. Every Ethernet cable ever will have twisted wires, so you spend a minute each cable just trying to straighten out the cables twists so that they will actually slip into the connection, having a straightener would be awesome. Everything else on it works great!

Ethernet Cables connections are not just for professionals. Perfect the first time!
Just used this over the weekend. I will never use another old style tool. This uses the wire pass through connectors. Once the wire is in place the tool will crimp put the spikes in and cut the excess wire. Amazingly easy.Tip: you'll need to get the connectors that allow the cable to pass through the end.In the past I have made multiple connections with a 50/50 rate of an issue. This was much easier and 100% of them worked. Plusses are the diagrams on the tool itself which makes it easy to get the color order right.What does the tool do? it cuts, splices the cable, and crimps perfectly while cutting the excess off. Would recommend as I pushed very hard and it felt like a solid tool. Highly recommend.

Design flaws
Two major design flaws make this crimper very annoying. In the space where you chop/trim cables, the razor blade does not extend all the way to the back of the throat. So, when you put strands of cable in the throat for a trim, it does not touch the first one or two strands. Then the lock button is in a spot where it unintentionally locks, and it is always at the most inopportune time. This crimper would be fine for an occasional crimp, but if you are looking for a tool that you will need to use all the time, this is not for you.
