I do not use TLC, but needed a small covered vessel. This is perfect, and I don't see how it wouldn't be perfect for TLC either. It has the internal ridges to help hold the plats, and the cover to help with evap. The glass is very thick, reassuringly so. Haven't temp tested it yet, but if it is genuine borosilicate glass, I can't see this breaking without trying to break it. The base is very sturdy and very weighty. It's a big thick slab of glass, once again very confidence inspiring. The lid looks a bit like a curved petri dish or watch-glass with edges. For reference, the lid is approx 4-6mm thick. Clarity in the tank is quite nice. The back clear wall does have a small glass defect in it hindering observation but is more annoying than any real issue. Nice tank!
