I have a 50 ounce SM tumbler that I use every day all day for hot coffee/tea and cold water or seltzer with organic lemon juice. It's summer now and so refreshing to take my drinks from cold to very cold. If I use all four cubes at once, they can even last overnight in my insulated mug.The two trays arrived new/clean/pristine and well wrapped so that they wouldn't be mashed with other items in my Amazon box. The outside is super soft silicone. It has a lovely almost velvety texture and is extremely flexible but appears strong enough to last many years with gentle handling. I have had no problem filling and carrying them to the freezer without spilling (but I don't fill to the absolute brim). You will need to keep them reasonably level in the freezer even if it's on top of other items -if you were to turn this sidewise, all your liquid would drip out. The lid is not airtight but fits snuggly/properly by just placing on top -no need to push down or pull off later. These ice cubes are super easy to get out of the tray and put in the mug -they are small enough to fit lengthwise across the diameter of the mug opening. I put anywhere from 1-4 depending on how cold I want things. The inside of the tray is ever so slightly textured with very faint lines that you can't see in the tray or on the cubes, and I think this makes it easier to grip and handle the cubes. Cleaning is crazy easy. Since I use a combo of water and lemon juice, I just rinse for a few seconds before refilling and only used soap, washing very well prior to first use. Although these can be thrown in the dishwasher, I advocate hand washing to improve longevity -could see these having a long lifespan.Oh, finally, I haven't tried items that might stain such as tomato sauce (or baby food) but there is zero chemical smell and I would recommend for such items or for freezing herbs in oil to use later for cooking. Since there are two, you could dedicate one for ice cubes (with or without fruit juices or slices of fruit) and the other for food stuff. I highly recommend this product, because it is indeed actual food-grade silicone (no plastic) and safe for its intended use.

I bought three different ice cube trays and this one was the best. Easy to fill and easy to remove the cubes. I put three or four in my Stanley Cup and it lasts for more than 24 hours. I am going to buy some more.

I wanted big ice that would still fit in my stained steel water bottle. These are perfect! Because of the size they last longer. I may buy more.

I bought it to freeze some coffee to save some time in the morning, and think it may used as a chocolate mold for filled bar. It works!

So many possibilities to use these! I can freeze popsicles for my kids or freeze broth in them.

I was hoping these would work great for my travel mug. They do fit in the mug nicely; but it requires a minimum of all four from one tray, if not all 8, or they will struggle to keep/get the drink cold, even in my insulated one.The cubes are nice and fit easily into the narrow opening at the top. I just wish they didn't require all of them to keep from melting.
