Nice cable
Pretty much another harman tuning. Slightly warm, but still mostly forward midrange. The bass is enough for the most part. If you compare them to the zero 2, these don't have nearly as much bass. They also sound slightly compressed, but that's something you find on most budget sets. The trebble is not bad at all. It isn't the smoothest but I say it's on par with the zero 2. This is basically a zero 2 but for the mids instead of bass. However, what sets it apart from the rest is the really nice cable. Simple, functional and light. It also comes with a little carrying pouch to store the iems in.

Super-lightweight, good sound, but not quite as detailed as some other pairs.
These are another good set of IEMs in the $20 bracket - they're not my favorite (I'd put them below the Chu 2 and the Tangzu Wan'er), but they're still quite good. Bassier than the others, a bit less detailed, but super lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods. The cable is a little thick but flexible and doesn't seem to tangle much.

Scratchy
Not much better sounding than the complimentary earplugs you get on an airplane flight. Little bass, hissing, scratchy treble that overwhelms vocals. The worst thing is how smeared the loud treble is... no definition. No sound stage.I replaced the included tips with foam ear tips and the audio quality went up quite a bit ! Still a bit sibulent and a little hollow in the vocals, but much more enjoyable overall.

Not just fantastic value, but just simply fantastic
Let’s not beat around the bush here. First off, chifi is no stranger to value for money. Make no mistake about it, the Truthear Gate has A LOT of competition to live up to. I think this set does live up to those exorbitant expectations and more. I would be hard pressed to really critique this set for ANYTHING, much less the price.build/comfortBuild is good enough for a budget set. It is made out of a plastic shell that is light and doesn’t feel *overly* cheap. Truthear’s own predecessor the Hola apparently was built better, I wouldn’t know? I have other cheap sets and this build quality is perfectly acceptable, they feel like they will last a long time if you don’t abuse them. This is a nitpick but the shell shape is shallow making it a bit harder to get a proper seal(my one negative). However the general shape is still safe and smooth, no jagged corners or anything that would otherwise reduce comfort or affect the seal. the included cable is great, the carrying pouch is a nice edition. Also you get more than just 3 eartips they give a selection between narrow and wide bore which is rare also at this price bracketsoundUnless you’re some audiophile equivalent of a corksniffer up the alps who complains about their Armani winter suit collection not having a matching rolex or something? there’s really nothing to complain about(to my ears)It is a cliche but I actually do sometimes hear minor details that I haven’t heard being played back on other gear. These are songs I’ve listened to easily 100 times if not more. These sound more revealing than my HD650 openback headphones to my ear which is no easy feat. What’s even more impressive is background that wasn’t even revealed on truthear’s own zero:red which is also a phenomenal set and an absolute benchmark and juggernaut in its own right. The gate also they do not sacrifice tonality or timbre, these do not sound overly shrieky or harsh. The bass especially on this set is an absolute masterclass on how to tune an in ear.these strike a wonderful balance between musicality and neutrality to me, slightly v-shaped.In ears are always a fickle thing so it’s impossible to predict if everyone’s ear canal resonances gel with the gate? but one thing is for certain? Mine do.the bar for cheap gear is set at Mt. Everest. Ironically people tend to be more harsh on cheap stuff than expensive gear in which case certain…let’s say “psychoacoustics” and logical fallacies such as sunk cost start to plague judgement. The gate has no such buffer against criticism and judgement. And it still manages to exceed my(and probably others) very high expectations. I highly recommend this set for general listeners.

One Earbud Has Lower Volume
The looks for the white version is 10/10 especially with the amazing cord. The issue is the left bud has 20% lower volume from all sources. They are cheap buds but this is unacceptable. I may just return them for the artti t10 or similar well reviewed iems. Dissapointing to say the least. No issues with other buds, headphones, or wireless buds, only these.

Lightweight and comfortable
Entry level IEMs that fit well and sound well. Not too much to worry about with these. Perfect set to start with when getting into IEMs in my opinion.

Amazing
These are the second IEMs I tried. The first ones were the Salnotes Zero 2. They were good but I had to return them because one side was quieter than the other. These are cheaper, a little higher in build quality, include a carrying pouch, have a way better cable, and have a mic. Sound is similar but I found the Zero 2 to have more bass. But all the pros outweigh the cons, so I would get these over the Zero 2 even if i was a bass lover. Well worth the price.

Leider sehr schade..
