These things have saved me butt a few times now. I have it attached to a pair of diagonal cutters that I use in a boom lift about 70 ft in the air. I've dropped them enough times but they only go to the end of the tether!

After breaking it in, it works great. It has good stretch which allows for good reach for me. Still no issues or signs of wear after months of consistent use.

GOOD FOR WHAT THEY ARE. A LITTLE LONG, BUT YOU NEED THAT. CARABINERS ARE CHEAP, BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT?

I have used these working with cordless tools on ladders to prevent the lithium ion batteries from hitting the floor when a tool falls. I wish they were a bit longer, but I think there is a good reason for their length. I am usually using compact drill drivers or compact impact wrenches, which are relatively light (depending on the battery's weight). So, when they fall (which is inevitable in my reality) they don't get even close to the ground when attached to the top of my 6ft ladder. On my eight foot ladder even better. So, for those light tools the straps are a bit too short for my taste, as they do restrict the upward motion of the tool when I need to reach a stretch towards the ceiling. But if I were using a heavier tools I would not want them to be any longer. Two solutions: When using a light tool on a short ladder that requires a long reach to the ceiling, add an extra length with a hook and loop strap to attach it to the ladder. Test it's elasticity with a controlled drop from a safe height, to make sure it is not too long. Or, put the loop of the stock strap over your arm, which can feel constraining but you get used to it.

Great tethers for tools while connecting or just in general while elevated. Better than dropping a spud and impelling someone.
