Another "little gem of great value" from Joseph Murphy
A very uplifting, positive and easy to read book from a favourite inspirational writer of mine. Joseph Murphy's books are always uplifting and easy to understand (although the language can, to some, seem a little old-fashioned) they never fail to inspire as the subject matter is timeless and changeless. Whenever Murphy uses the word "God", I substitute it (mentally) with the word spirit which, to me personally, infers an indwelling, infinite and invisible power which is all and in all living things. Joseph Murphy's books are never dogmatic or religious, but always spiritually and practically uplifting and his teachings are simple to comprehend and apply.

Your God-given power of imagination - harness it and use it for good.
Not so much a review as some thoughts I'm being left with as I finish the book. I like it, albeit after having to reject some unscriptural ideas.I like how man's relationship with God is portrayed in terms that embraces man's psychological faculties as opposed to only classically religious Christian terms. Actually, it's my growing interest in the faculty of human imagination that led me to buy this book. Since experiencing inner healing from God (that is, the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ) I have felt the desire to explore any creativity that may be latent within me. In reading about creativity I have seen how it is birthed in the imagination, which is essentially what this book is about - the imagination and thinking and acting positively based on the imagination.I have highlighted in my kindle version various portions that I feel give good encouragement or clearly explain things or give clear steps in how to employ the powers of our imagination. I reckon I've made such highlights at the rate of 1 or 2 per page or two.I'm not a fan of 'spiritualising' scripture, that is, interpreting it in a metaphorical way when it's simply telling a literal story. In this book that's what the author does with the story of Joseph, his dreams and his relationship to the rest of his family. I can overlook that. There are other things I need to overlook that I feel are too much of a departure from sound Biblical teaching, eg, the notion that I am my own saviour. If he means in terms of having the resources within myself to overcome seemingly impossible problems then fine, because that's what faith does, using the heart and mind; but not in terms of being able to atone for my sins - that is solely the achievement of Jesus Christ, his finished work of redemption on the cross by the spilling of his own blood unto death. I also need to overlook the exclusive emphasis given to healing as a result of the power of mind. Clearly, in scripture, which is God's own word, the power to heal belongs to him though his Holy Spirit, not the mind of man. Finally, the last thing I need to overlook is that the author was a freemason. It doesn't matter how advanced he was, the simple fact that he had become one is enough for me to think, 'Oh dear, that poor guy'. He may have realised how to use God given faculties in our human nature which mirror faculties of God himself and they relate to the principle of faith, but he seems to have been led astray from absolute Truth through his own ignorance of God's will resulting in his idolatrous involvement in Freemasonry - which brings a curse upon himself and generations of his offspring after him. (See anything by Derek Prince on Blessings and Curses). So basically, what I got out of this book was encouragement to follow my interest and conviction in the power of the imagination and positive thinking, which to me are inherent in the principle of faith. What I would flag up about this book is it's seeming ignorance of the need for a man to be born again and to enter into a real, genuine spiritual (not merely mental or intellectual) relationship with God as the beginning of that persons true salvation in Christ. The 4 stars reflect my pleasure at being encouraged, the lack of 5 stars reflects my concerns over biblical mis-interpretation, the lack of honouring the Salvation that is in Jesus and links with Freemasonry.

Magnificent book.
Dr Joseph Murphy was a brilliant man, and one of the founders of the "new thought" movement. He somehow never got the accolades of other writers in the same subject, and this was always a mystery to me. For me, nobody has ever written about was is now called " the law of attraction " so accurately and simple as Dr Murphy. There is always passion and love for his subject in every sentence he writes. He could win over any sceptic of the subject with blinding knowledge and obvious belief in his message. This book is short but beautiful. Many writers take 3/4 times the amount of pages to Express the same message, however Dr Murphy could educate in a very reader friendly way, on a sometimes difficult subject, in his own simple yet very effective style. Not many writers have this talent. If you are interested in understanding the subject of manafistation, subconscious thinking or infinite intelligence on a deeper yet more simplistic level, buy this book.

Five Stars
I like books. I read a lot. I finish almost all books. If it is total nonsense, then I just close it and leave it... How to write a review on a book? I am not a critic. Some people would like it, some not. If you are looking at this book, because somebody recommended it for you, so buy it and decide by yourself if you like it. If you just going through the list of the books - and think that this title attracts you - buy it and read it! Books are good, they feed your brains, they improve your personality! ! Read more

Joseph Murphy is Truly amazing!!
I have read The Magic of Faith by Joseph Murphy. This man truly has an amazing way with words. Of all the books I have read about positibe thinking, this is the one (aside from the bible) which has left a lasting impression on my mind. It is one which allows you to apply the principles right away, and put into practice the thinking acting and becoming more positive in your thoughts and actions.I love his style of writing and his almost poetic way with words. A truly amazing book. Very deep and a real pleasure to read.

This book is PHENOMENAL!!!! The power of the HEART aligned with the images of the mind is REAL and is the the consciousness, the Spirit of the creator in us to bring into fruition what we truly FEEL and imagine. Fear and Hopelessness is not from or of the creator. It is a program to be forgiven and transcended to awaken to our Infinite, Immortal and GOD essence!

Another Must Read from Joseph Murphy
I have yet to read a book by Joseph Murphy that I didn't enjoy, including this one. đŸ˜‚Timeless advice for people of all ages seeking answers on how to live successful, genuine, prosperous and happier lives. His message is still relevant today and has successfully stood the test of time. The kind of book that I think should be added to high school reading lists too, providing young people valuable life lessons, unlike some of the "junk" they are now expected to read.Highly recommended.Geraldine Helen Hartman, author of, Laughing at the Grim Reaper! Livre confus avec références bibliques
Ce livre tente de faire coller la PNL avec la bible (ou l'inverse). Le résultat est confus, ennuyeux et inutile.
