I bought this mat after using cheaper pvc/tpe mats for years, and the difference is amazing. I probably spent on this mat about 3 times what I would on a cheaper mat, for a quality product that not only seems very durable, but is also helping me to improve my practice. This mat is definitely better value for money, in my opinion.When I unpacked this mat it looked very smooth, and I was sceptical that it would provide enough grip. When I used it for the first time, however, I was pleasantly surprised. This mat allows me to really push against my hands and/or feet without worrying about slipping, which is very useful in sun salutations, or anything where I need to flow between poses. I get very sweaty palms, especially, and I can really push up into my hips and back into my heels in down dog now. The underside of the mat is textured, and grips to hard floors really securely so I don't have to be concerned about my mat slipping around, either. It's much sturdier than what I'm used to, and that does mean it's a bit heavier to carry than my old pvc mat. It's also a little bit wider and longer than mats I've used before.Despite being grippy and stable, there's enough cushioning that holding floor-based asanas is comfortable enough just with the mat. However, if you're massively into yin yoga and like to melt into poses for longer periods, you'd probably want to add a towel or blanket for a tiny bit more cushioning.I haven't needed to clean my mat yet, but the company sent a follow up email with care instructions, which recommends just wiping it down with very dilute washing up liquid - nice and easy!The only thing that would improve this for me would be if it came with a mat bag - the mat came with a yoga strap to use as a carrying strap, which works fine, but using a mat bag is recommended in the care advice, as is protecting it from sunlight, which obviously a yoga strap can't do. I have been storing mine back in the box when I'm not using it, until I can get a mat bag of the right size.Overall, if you are looking for a sturdy, well-manufactured mat that gives good grip for sweaty hands and feet, I can wholeheartedly recommend this product. It's been worth every penny to me, and I look forward to using it for years to come.

Great mat. I replaced an old exercise mat that was shabby and would get slippery when I was sweating.This mat is excellent, great grip and feels just soft enough without feeling spongy. It certainly meets the sweat test for my sweaty hands when doing Yoga.The visual guide on the mat is really helpful too.

Just what I was looking for my Yoga lessons. It stops me slipping due to sweat. The smell is a little bit funky but I can leave with that. Super non-slip.

I was gutted when my Terra grip yoga mat wore out and I found out Pharamond had gone out of business so was frantically looking for a similar thing. This mat has really good grip it is just a bit skinnier and shorter which took a bit of getting used to but, apart from that, it is very good. And black is a bit of an old tyres color for a yoga mat but that was all that was on offer here.

This is a great looking mat (a lady in my yoga class I'd never spoken to spontaneously commented on how it looked good!). It's fairly sticky (although not quite as much as some very cheap ones, funnily enough), is just the right thickness (dense, but not soft or spongy) and feels high quality.It has a slight rubber smell, but I don't find it at all unpleasant so don't even care if it stays or goes.It's also a little on the expensive side, but I'll give the maker the benefit of the doubt and assume that natural rubber is not cheap as a raw material. It's also slightly heavy, but I didn't want a very thin/light one, so I'm reassured by the weight rather than particularly bothered by it.Recommended! Very happy with this and would buy another in a heartbeat.

I bought the Plyopic All-in-one mat three years ago and needed to buy a bunch of mats this year for my retreats. After assessing the market for quality and prices and going through all the big players I decided to buy the Plyopic Ultra Grip Mat because from my experience I knew grip was a thing for them and also it was affordable. Tried the mats couple days ago with a client. We were stunned! This is the best grip, best stability I have ever experienced on a mat. Not to mention the aesthetics. The matte surface with the velvety line in the middle for better alignment make this mat look SOOO aesthetically pleasing. Every single second of my practice I was thinking how happy, grateful and proud I was for offering my first retreat clients such high quality mat. Well I’m really happy that I chose this mat over all the others. It’s really long and wide, made from a nice thick natural rubber so it’s durable. Ok it’s a little heavier than other mats I’ve used but since it’s staying in my flat then it’s actually a benefit as it weights it down flat to the floor. If your wondering which mat to buy, don’t hesitate get this one, I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. I don’t ever write reviews but I felt strongly compelled to write this one as I’m so satisfied and want to share this discovery with you all.... :)

Do not fork out £80-100 for a more expensive brand. This mat is everything I’ve needed and been looking for. I’m a poor student so it would have been a big investment for me to get an expensive mat. This mat being only £30 had me a tad sceptical at first but I was so wrong and I’m so glad I decided to go for it. Amazing quality and grip, gorgeous minimal design in matte black and looks sleek and professional. I’m in love with it! It’s given me my motivation back for my home practice and I’m excited to grow and progress with it. Honestly, the quality for the price is unbelievable. Definitely recommend!
