This machine is worthless. Left on 24hrs-day for 2 months and it caught 3 small gnats. too late to return. Don't waste your money.

Note: this review is for a gifted item.First the esthetics. Nice black body, very stylish, BUT a white cord? Really, a white cord with a black body? Who can think of something that silly. Plus the cord is WAY too short to even be useful.Second the usability. It works well to catch (and kill) moths and large bugs (like mosquitoes). Forget about catching fruit flies, they’re too small and don’t get attracted - for those stick to fly paper…Third the price. It’s pretty affordable, but I wouldn’t get it for small bugs.

This insect trap is quite effective and stylish. The UV light attracts bugs easily, and its sleek design fits well in any room without being an eyesore. It's really quiet, so it doesn’t disturb me at all, even at night. The trap has a convenient catchment area that makes cleaning and disposing of the bugs super easy. Plus, the USB power cord means I can use it pretty much anywhere. Overall, it's a great solution for dealing with indoor pests.

The fan create a lot of suction to pull flying insects into the lamp where the high voltage will kill them. However, it’s pretty loud at high speed. The light is nice. There’s only 2 mode: sleep and shock. Sleep mode won’t kill insect, but the light and fan still run at low speed, I wish the there is an option to turn off the fan in sleep mode since it won’t kill insect anyway. Other than that it works.

I used bait, and gave it weeks. In 2 weeks, i think it caught about 5 fruit flies with literally hundreds constantly flying around it. The fruit fly's can even fly out the bottom.. The bottom mesh catchment holes are larger than the fruit flies. This was a TOTAL waste of money.

We are really enjoying the Fly Insect Trap. It has helped to reduce the gnats and flies in our home immensely. It has a beautiful light with a fan that helps to encourage the flying insects to fly into the insect trap. The Fly Insect Trap performs wonderfully and is a great value for the money.

Put it next to a source of fruit flies, they didnt wanna go in but at least the bigger pests and parasites arent gonna bother me. Honestly it could use some improvements to get the fruit flies, smaller escape vent holes, some instructions on how to catch fruitflies with this thing may help, but other than that its a good purchase if you got a bigger bug issue than fruit flies.
