We recently got the Fisher-Price Preschool Kitchen Playset Laugh & Learn 123 Follow The Recipe Meal Kit for our 4-year-old, and it has been an absolute delight! 🍳👩‍🍳 This 30-piece pretend cooking set is packed with everything a young chef could need, and it’s the perfect mix of fun and learning. The colorful utensils and food pieces are sturdy and designed for little hands, making it easy for my child to pretend to cook up a storm.What’s really awesome is the “Follow the Recipe” feature. It introduces numbers and basic cooking concepts in such an engaging way! My child loves following the simple recipes, which not only helps with basic math and counting but also encourages imaginative play and storytelling. The interactive sounds and music make it even more exciting, turning playtime into a fun learning experience.The set is also super versatile! My two year old loves this. He’s just cutting up the food and putting it back together but he will definitely get lots of years out of this because it will grow with him. Hopefully we don’t loose any pieces to soon.

My newly 5 year old loves playing restaurant and preparing meals to order for me, so I knew she'd love this set. The premise is great--a chef's board that attaches to a stand with a "tablet" on it you can put different recipe cards into and it both gives a visual of preparing the item, and you can press the button to hear how to prepare the item. It includes all the ingredients for 5 different recipes (the ingredients are either sturdy felt-type material or plastic), a shopping bag, a plate, and a "chef's knife". There are 3 "modes"--Mode 1 coaches you through shopping for the ingredients and putting them in the bag. Mode 2 coaches you through preparing the dish--lay out the tortilla, cut the tomato, cut the avocado, etc. Mode 3 is....trivia and jokes, I guess? You have to continually push the green button to advance to the next step, and all modes have songs interspersed. My daughter loved the idea of this toy and she liked the parts that were actually listing out the steps. She was frustrated when she would hit the button for the next step and a song would start playing instead, and she found the 3rd mode totally uninteresting and confusing. This could've been simplified to be *just* the shopping and cooking instructions and we would have been much happier with it, honestly! Still, you can skip the songs by hitting the green button again (which she did, I never heard a song past the first second or two), and you never have to go to mode 3, so it's still a fun, usable toy.
