Works great
Great product, works as described. Ok, it's not an apogee. Even if it's 50 par off, it got me in the ballpark of where my lights needed to be set for corals. After that, just monitor the corals and make small adjustments. But to use very minimally when setting up a tank, you can't beat the price.

Works great. Easy to use. Will keep using with my reef tank.

Inaccurate reading compared to Apogee. Huge margin.
After reading reviews and saw that people claimed this Par meter being a fraction of the price of an expensive Apogee meter, was only 5-10% off in accuracy in comparison, I bought it. I found out that this was WAY off in terms of Par reading. At first I thought my ReefLED 50 was defective, because the readings at the surface and all did not even come close to that of a what RedSea claimed their light performance was. It was way off. See attached photo. I even calibrated the sensor many times in the dark, completely covered. It made no difference. The readings are unreliable and cannot be used, it’s too far off.

FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY
This PAR meter definitely does not come within the 98% range of the infamous APOGEE accuracy. I know this because I've used the said Apogee on a loan basis. This meter is off by approximately 20-30 par, is that a game changer for this piece of equipment in its price range? hell no. This par meter was just what I needed to guarantee coral placement and subsequently, maximum success. Everyone need somewhere to start so my recommendation would be to start here with the DANOPLUS you won't regret it, get the bang you deserve for your bucks.(The 1 star removed for lack of perfection is not a problem) who gets perfection anyway?

Love it!
Really good meter. All my plants are doing way better now that I have this to tell me how strong my lights are in my aquarium.

Great to place corals and to evaluate functioning of the lights
See es to work very well and was able to analyse best sports in the tank for my corals based on par intensity

Essential for coral life
Great meter, haven't been able to compare to the more expensive ones, but it has been able to help me a lot to know how my tanks lighting is doing and adjusting the lights to actually meet what the coral needs. Didn't realize my lights were really low before this. A must have if you are keeping corals otherwise you are just guessing.

Multiple par reading
Works good, but if your using it for your reef tank MULTIPLY the par reading by x1.7 or x1.8 Doing that should give you the most accurate reading
