I bought 3 of these - a star, a butterfly, and a heart - for my 9 year old and twin 7 year old girls. They are adorable (The necklaces, that is. Well, the girls are adorable too, but I may be biased.) - they look exactly as pictured. Size-wise the charms are a little smaller than a quarter - a perfect size for young girls. We've had them a little over a week and no issues so far with quality. One of the girls leaves hers on all the time (including showers) and so far no tarnishing on the skin or anything falling apart. The charms change color a good bit even on top of clothing, so that makes it fun. Lots of greens and blues and purples, every now-and-then a gold or brown. The packaging lists the supposed mood for each color - one of my girls keeps the packaging handy to see if the mood list is right. I do not regret making this purchase and I feel the ~nine dollar price point is about right for these necklaces. With a decent sample size of 3 pieces, I'm satisfied with the initial quality of the necklaces - will update this review if we encounter any issues of significance.

I actually was thinking of giving this to a colleague for Christmas but I liked it so much I kept it for myself. It is well made for the price. I don't usually wear necklaces with cords because they tend to be uncomfortable on me but this cord is soft I didn't even feel it.The pendant changed colors throughout the day. I noticed some of the reviewers bought these for young girls but I'm 51 yo and remember when mood rings first came out; we all had them. I got several compliments on this necklace. I bought the cat necklace for my sister (who by the way is 52) and I think I'm going to ask for the peace necklace for my birthday although I may just buy it myself.

Due to Judy Moody, mood rings are quite the thing in the 8 year old circle. I looked for rings for my daughter but they either had poor reviews or didn't seem to offer size selections. Decided to go with this and very pleased. It looks super cute as a necklace even without the mood elements to it. May buy more as birthday gifts for my daughter's friends. Much less easy to loose than as ring as well.

I purchased this for my granddaughter and she loves it. She has had so much fun. It arrived on time and the colors change regularly. I now need to purchase another one for my other granddaughter. The necklace is easy for her to get off and on by herself and seems to be very sturdy. I would recommend it for something fun for.

This was a gift, so not able to say how it will hold up, but it looked well made and was very pretty. The star changed colors quite easily. The "chart" was a little hard to read, but that didn't bother us. Both my girls are hoping to receive one themselves!

This necklaces is great,and this is coming from the one that got the necklace.It has great quality,and changes color to your real mood. Also it looks beautiful whyl it is changing.The silver stays shining ,and it looks great for every seasonthe color seems to match .I think this neckless is wonderful.I recommend it!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my tweenage daughter. It's been 2 years (time flys) she still wear this necklace and gets lots of compliments. She has experienced no color deterioration from the metal and no fraying from the rope leather. It is just as pictured and amazing high quality for the type of necklace. Overall great gift for a young girl!

I'm 36 but remember mood rings as a child. I thought this was cool looking so I bought it and I love it. I think it looks better in person and seems like it will go with anything I wear. I like it so much I'm buying 2 more so I can run the parts on black elastic cord and make a bracelet and anklet
