Sturdy, greener replacement for standard garbage bags
Working through our first box of these 13 gallon bags. They are far better than I expected.Pros:Very strong! Definitely more tear-resistant than store-brand garbage bags and maybe about the same as Glad Force Flex. They're very likely way better for the environment than using plastic, even if you don't have special composting waste facilities. I read a municipal report about compostable kitchen garbage bags such as these. It found that they decompose in regular landfills.Cons: Price. I'd like it if the company ditched the cute printed design on the bags and passed along the savings, but I'll keep buying these even at the current price b/c at least they're not plastic. Also, these bags come attached to each other along a perforated edge, like paper towels or produce bags at the grocery store, but they're attached along the long edge, which makes separating one bag from the roll a bit... annoying.

So much better than non-compostable
These are awesome bags. Yes you pay a bit more for them but they totally break down in the landfill. They are much stronger than the non-compostable ones too - they hold a lot of very heavy trash and the draw string is secure. I now buy all my bags from this company and they also have a great laundry soap.

Better than expected
These bags are a little expensive (about 80 cents each vs. 20 cents for Glad Flex, and even less for store brands), but we go through a lot of bags and I like the idea that they will break down. I did not have any issues as others seem to have with the bags breaking down while being used, but I have to empty my 2 trash cans almost every day, so the bag doesn't get to sit very long full of trash. They are definitively more fragile and tear more easily. In summary, I would recommend these if you're able to be somewhat gentle with them. If you frequently have lots of wet or heavy trash, these might not work for you.

These are great, for dry trash
These are great bags. They’re actually much more sturdy than my regular white tall kitchen bags. My only issue, is that if I put in wet trash, like orange peels or fruit bits, and don’t take it out right away, it starts decomposing in my trashcan. So by the time I pull it up, there are a bunch of holes in it. And I suppose that’s a good thing - I know that it degrades in the landfill. But I wish it could just wait just a little bit longer lol. But it doesn’t happen too often. I wish they were cheaper too.

Better for environment but easily split
I purchased these to cut down on plastic that never breaks down. Just disappointed they rip so easily. One day has dirty cat litter and food drop out of a split and land all over my outside steps. What a mess. They did fit well in my kitchen trash can

More eco-friendly and handles really well!
I recently wanted to switch from buying virgin plastic to a eco friendly compostable bag solution for my kitchen trash. I was looking for a compostable bag for black can trash that was easy to open and sturdy. I’m happy with this bag purchase and I’ll definitely be buying these again!

These dissolve while in the kitchen trash can
They seem very sturdy when you pull one out but we found that the bottom had disintegrated and fell apart when we lifted it out of the can and dumped the trash all over the floor. We will return them.
