Bought this item on offer so good value for money. We are an egg-free household and I like my mayo so this was a great purchase as getting the smaller bottles from supermarkets can become costly. This is by far the tastiest plant-based mayo - tastes like the real thing! Another great advantage is that even though the tub is huge, it stays good many months past the best-before date so you don’t need to be in a rush to finish it all quickly.

Amazing flavour and texture - as close to the real thing as you can get. It is 72% rapeseed oil, water, vinegar, sugar, salt a bit of starch and some flavouring (including mustard and lemon), no artificial colours or flavours, no GMO ingredients or gluten. It is as close to the real thing as we have ever seen. Very creamy, very lemony / zingy. In fact, the ingredients are incredibly similar to the Hellmann's Real Mayo: it just uses a little less rapeseed oil (72% instead of 78%) and some starch to replace the eggs, which explains why the flavour is so similar. Note that this is different from the American and Canadian recipe which uses soybean oil instead (their Real Mayo, however uses canola, i.e. rapeseed oil). Rapeseed oil is considered a healthier choice over soybean oil as it is lower in saturated fat (7% vs 15%) and higher in monounsaturated fats (63% vs 25%), as well as containing omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. This 2.6L/2.6kg catering bucket at £12.49 is excellent value at £4.80/kg compared to the small 270g pot which is normally anywhere in between £9.26/kg and £5.56/kg, at the time of writing (1 July 2020), and this mayo keeps extremely well (we have actually kept the open tub in a cool-room, rather than the fridge, without any issue). Use subscribe and save and you can get this for as little as £4.08/kg! We have purchased this item twice so far and did not have any issues with the delivery/packaged being smashed; if this happens to you, just notify Amazon and they will replace the item for you.

My favourite vegan mayonnaise- does not taste any different to non vegan version. Price fluctuates greatly so I make sure I get this when the price goes down. Packaged much better than it used to be- have been ordering it for a couple of years and used to arrived smashed quite often but doesn’t anymore.

Love, love, love this stuff. We get through loads so this large size is perfect. Now we can have home made coleslaw, potato salad, tartare sauce, garlic and herb mayo, burger toppings, coronation sauce and all the things we struggle to find vegan versions of. The taste is how I remember egg mayo tasting, but it has been a long time so non vegans may disagree. But it tastes full, rich and creamy and is the same thick consistency I remember. Stock up when on offer!!

When this arrived there was 4 weeks left before the “use by date.” No way can we consume 2 litres of mayonnaise in that time. As a food product, returning is not possible. The product itself is fine.

Really delicious mayonnaise, hard to believe it really is a vegan mayo. I’m not a meat eater but as someone who’s not a convert and has always been this way, I do eat eggs and love mayonnaise! This version is just as good and means that I will now stick to this vegan version. I’ve tried various Vegan brands from health food shops but still think this is the best alternative mayo out there! I’d really like to know why ‘alternative’ products always seem to cost so much more hence buying this larger one which represents to me better value for money. It’s a shame the makers aren’t offering something half the size of this one! Would definitely buy again but because of size, a lot depends on how long it will last as we’re a normal size family not a business!
