The brightness is great on this little light, we use it as a night light until my son falls asleep and then shut down the fish while he is asleep. The suction is average, need to be reapplied once or twice a week to side of tank. Overall, just what I was looking for.Changed my opinion of this, after 2 months it is not working and the item can not be returned or replaced. Take your money to a different item

The piece of junk broke in 1 day, the wall plug / usb failed in 1 day. lets see how long the light lasts.also falls off every day so hope you don't plan of putting it underwater unless you weight it down. Extremely bright maybe to bright

**UPDATED 8/10/2018**This thing has no on/off button, I've had to just unplug it when I wanted to turn it off. Then my brilliant self told my dorky self to invest in a smart plug that works with Alexa. So I listened to my brilliant self and did exactly that, so now all I have to say is "Alexa, turn on the aquarium" and viola! Light goes on, then goes off when I tell her to turn it off. It's just like at Christmas time when I plugged the tree lights into a smart plug and told Alexa to turn off the tree when we went to bed. It's amazing! My boys had fun telling Alexa to turn it off and on so many times, Alexa was probably itching to knock them silly and the fish probably thought they were at some groovy disco party. Now if I could only give Alexa the command to "Cook dinner for my family"...This worked well in my aquarium. It is not super bright, but I didn't need it to be. I have a 50 gallon tank with 2 lighted hoods. One of the lights no longer works and I can't replace it right now. So I got this in it's place because I got tired of having one side bright, and the other dark. It rotates through various colors, you can't change that to just one color. The blue light highlights my glow in the dark plants nicely. The only problem I have is with the suction. It won't stay put and I have to keep sticking it back onto the glass. There is always some snail that is on the suction part and I have to take them off so I can try and re-stick it. Luckily the suction is clear so they're easy to see, otherwise I'd probably squish the poor things (they're tiny). I would have liked the cord to be a little longer as well. My tank sits on a stand and the power strip is on the floor. It just barely reaches, but I have to put this towards the back of the tank.

Love this LED light for my betta tank!It's the only replacement light I could find! I don't know why the light that came with my betta tank are impossible to replace but this sweet little light is perfect and slowly changes the most vibrant colors!I highly recommend it!

unable to change light colors manually, suction cup does not keep strength, loosens every 2-3 days. fish died about a week after installing not sure why, rinsed it completely with water and allowed to air dry prior to use.

I think it could be more clear that it doesn't have a way to stop the light on any given color. I have other color changing lights that have a button to stop it when you want to leave it blue or pink, etc....but can have it auto-rotate colors also. Another problem this item has is no on/off button. I plugged it into a on/off plug in so I don't have to unplug it every time I want to turn it off.Pros: Small footprint, can be pointed at different angles stays cool and won't take much energy to run.

I bought one of these lights to see how it would perform in a bowl I turned on my lath made of resin for a night light. It turned out so beautiful with the subtle changing of color from beautiful pastels to brilliant reds and greens, yellows and blue that I ordered another and made a different project. I ordered two more for projects I am working on and plan on ordering more for future. I wonder if I can get a discount if I order in bulk LOL

I like the led lights in my fish aquarium but had 2 tape the suction cup on.
