The light is pleasant after adjusting color and brightness and maintains the last setting when only the switch is used. The fan, though not as powerful as a traditional unit is surprisingly strong and very quiet. The shrouded build works well with a bunk bed setup and reverse direction let's it push air effectively to each bed.

This fan is super lightweight, even fully boxed up the package only comes in at mere 5.3kg. Compared to the last ceiling fan I used quite some years ago; this technology has come on leaps and bounds.The fan has a very modern look so be careful where you’re planning to place this. However, once installed the fan works effortlessly, it’s very silent in comparison to other models I’ve used and has a nice mix of speeds to select from; the winter upwards mode is a particularly interesting option I’ve not come across before.The big central light has the ability to change the tone of the white, my personal favourite being the warmest option. Controlling this is simple and easy with the accompanying remote that is very intuitive.Only real gripe is that high price, there are cheaper options out there that may do the job just as well.

Edit: I've just realised that all the other reviews so far are from people who received it for free! Lesson learned.It looks great, but there is definitely an annoying noise when the fan is working. I had an electrician install this and when we discovered the noise we took it down and tried to figure out what might be causing it, but couldn't find anything. I doubt we'll be able to sleep with the fan on given the noise it makes. Also, every time we turn the light on and off, it comes on a different colour (i.e. white, yellow or blue). There's nothing in the instructions that tells you how to fix it on just one level of brightness (e.g. warm white or yellow for bedroom) so every time we turn the light on we get a different colour - not the end of the world but just a bit annoying.

Easily installed and is perfect for bedroom both with light source and fan. Very good value and remote is an added bonus.
