Conan Exiles Day One Edition

I’m not going to go into details about how the game is played there are trailers for that what I will say is that it’s a very fun game very addictive the graphics are very nice the views are great. All the DLC’s are worth it in my opinion and they are pretty cheap.

Conan Exiles is an admirable game with some flaws. PVP and PVE play suffer from some lag and frame rate drops; but that doesn't detract from what is undeniably one of the better survival games. The overall design and game-play are a breath of fresh air in the genre and the musical score is epic perfection. Crafting and construction are so well done that I find myself getting lost in base building. I do hope that a creative mode comes to consoles.

I am a conan collector, so I am pretty biased about this world, and am thrilled to just be in it. I think it's great that this game even exists. Building has become such a thing since Minecraft, that's it's even been incorporated into the Hyborean Age of Conan. The game has its issues: takes up almost 60GB, is glitchy, and not very intuitive. I think a person could easily get bored. This is a 3 star game for your average fan of anything Hyborean Age or R.E.Howard--and a 4 star game for fanatical collector's such as I , because I am having a blast creating my own place in this world, and when I decide to leave the home that I've built, it always feels daunting, treacherous even. I enjoy the graphics well-enough. The general game play is a bit tedious; but I can't help but to enjoy it, and I haven't even touched the online, or tried 1st person. I could go on with what I do or don't like, but what you should take from this, is that if you have interest in exploring and creating a place in the Hyborean Age (and I'm not even certain it's an accurate representation at all), then get this game.

The game it’s self is an awesome game but sadly I ordered the day one edition and did not receive it . Instead I received the standard edition which I do not mind except that I wasted an extra 12 dollars for the game .

I love this game, I do wish there were some more cute scenes then just the opening, but that's not a big problem. I do think it is sad that PC gamers get the real game and us console users get watered down Conan. If PC gamers get it why not us? I still love this game. Just annoyed. Please developers give us DLC so we can play the game you made and not the water we got.

I love Conan, and an open-world Hyborian Age videogame is something I've wished for since I was a teenager reading the works of Robert E. Howard for the first time. But this game is a letdown. The "exile land" you explore has cool monsters like you'd expect in a Conan game, but the complete absence of story, unstructured gameplay, and lack of colorful characters to interact with makes it lose all it's luster after about 2 hours. The difficulty is insanely high, making it a drag for casual players. You make it manageable however, by creating a "custom" game mode. But even with survivable settings, the lack of objectives makes it feel like you're just spinning your wheels. Plus, building a stronghold is a major part of the game, but the construction mode on this PS4 version is too persnickety to tolerate. I've sunk about 20 hours into it, trying to convince myself that it must get better, but it simply never does. Being a fan of both Conan and open-world games, it pains me to admit that this game is not fun.

If you like Ark: Survival Evolved, then this game is a must buy. The developers are also constantly fixing the game (every day since launch, they have been patching bugs). Lots of building (better than Ark) and plenty of NPCs, wildlife, dungeons, weapons, armor, crafting recipes, and other stuff to do. It feels like a living world.

Conan Exiles is all about that grind. If you're playing solo/offline don't expect to be king of the castle in 1 day. You could easily spend a few hours chopping wood and breaking down rocks to make a decent sized sandstone house.The character progression throughout the game is alright, you add onto your stats and unlock special items and abilities. There is alot of crafting to do and items to collect. I really enjoyed the vast amount of crafting that is present in this game. There is a huge assortment of weapons and armors. You can capture thralls and make them craft certain items for you. There are fancy housewares and decor. You can make special dishes and drinks.The map is pretty large and will take a long time to explore. There are alot of creepy humanoid type creatures and some pretty angry animals that will destroy you if you don't go prepared. Interesting dungeons and boss fights, albeit a little monotonous. The survival aspect is pretty accurate, you need to eat and drink so you don't starve to death. You need clothing and warmth when it is cold and you need to find a place to hide in a sandstorm. You need to cook your food or you'll get food poisoning. In the beginning of the game till you can establish your own little base, you're probably going to die alot.
