This does a pretty good job at catching the litter. I use the pine pellets and my cat drags them all over the place. This grabs them off of his feet before he can take them too far. Thankfully the rug has a nonslip backing so when he's trying to dig at it, it doesn't move too far out of place. It is not waterproof but I haven't had any issues with him trying to use it instead of his box.

Its a fun rug
My cat loves this rug as much as the cat in the pictures. I love it as much as the cat in the pictures cause it catches all the litter. Pretty decent thing
