Dirndl Trachten HausWhite Cotton Womens German Dirndl Crop Top Blouse

I absolutely love this shirt. My daughter is in high school drama club and the costume came with a shirt that wasn’t flattering. In a rush I made the order for this shirt in a small. It fit her petite frame perfectly. But, the show is 3 days in a row. The first day of wearing it, the stitching that makes the it puff and flounce everywhere, was coming a loose. I had to turn it inside out and completely restitch it I order for it not to fall apart. I’d advise anyone if they buy this shirt, go ahead and add your stitching to tighten it up all over; just in case. Thankfully I’m skilled and able to do what was necessary. Thereafter all was well. I shouldn’t have to do that on a $40 shirt.

It is all 100% cotton and not see through! Although it needs washing with softener and you can not machine dry it as they tell you that it will shrink if you do. I’m basically using it for a costume for a Ren fair and doing some altering to make it work for me. Sizing is pretty accurate. I am removing elastic from the arms as I thought it was stiff and uncomfortable. This may have improved with washing in fabric softener but I’m sewing the sleeve ends differently. I believe it is overpriced and would have rather payed $20 or less for it, but it saves me time in creating a costume.

The blouse was a bit stiff at first but I washed it and the material became much softer. It fit as expected around the chest. My only complaint is the elastic in the sleeves is wayyyy to tight. I mean make your head swell, can't wait to get it off after 10 seconds tight! I ended up talking the sleeves apart and removing the elastic that was in there, putting in new looser elastic and sewing the sleeves back up. I have washed it about 8 -9 times and so far so good. ( I hang it on a hanger to dry).

Fits as expected! Good quality and well made! I do not have a negative thing to say about this top!

Was looking for a blouse for my dirndl that was not so low cut. Looks great with my outfit, fits nice. (I did order it bigger than my usual size.) Fabric is a little stiff but that might relax with washing & wear. Very pleased.

Arrived on time. I ordered the same size as my drindl purchased in Germany (38) It was a good fit. Could have probably done the 36 just cause I'm not super busty (34C) and the rouching gives some room. The sleeves fit well. Was a little bit starched feeling but nothing unbearable and after washing it eased up. I was almost tempted to use it under my pirate costume as well.

I have just received the blouse, so I have not yet worn it. There are instructions to wash in cold water and air dry, which I did. Being 100% cotton, you need to be careful not to finish in dryer which would make it shrink, and it will need to be ironed. It seems to fit well with my dirndl.
