120mm Black Steel Computer Case Fan Mesh Grill / Guard / Filter - Medium Hole

This is a rigid steel grill which fits in a 120 mm fan cutout. The grill is raised around the 120 mm circular diameter shown. Hole size is large enough to not significantly restrict flow.Expect that the corner mounting holes will not be exactly circular due to the interruption of the perforations. The attached photo shows the grill mounted on the underside of some 0.060" aluminum (on a scratch built computer case).I am very satisfied with this purchase.

I have bought these in the past, very good quality and finish, very satisfied with my purchase, I wish that everything we purchased would keep up the higher quality standards like this item, so many things I have researched and/or bought in the recent past have severely declining quality, I would rather pay a little more for a better return on my dollar than some of the junk I and others have bought, received, and have had to send back.

Cheap and flimsy feeling. Edges are unfinished and sharp! Returned for a different grill.

Not sure why I am bothering writing a review for this. It's a perforated piece of metal, how could they screw that up? At any rate, this was purchased for a case mod on a Silverstone HTPC case from back in 2010 that has some pretty poor air flow, and was having overheating problems. Ultimately, I replaced the whole case with a Node 605, so I have not been able to make much use of this, since the top panel metal for the Silverstone case is quite thick, and I have not had any jigsaw blades to cut out the fan hole.I was able to line this up with the pilot holes for the mounting screws, made with the fan I had planned on using, and they line up perfectly, so there's that.

I wasn't sure about these so I only ordered one initially. Could be cut a little cleaner but otherwise just fine. Wish it was a little cheaper. My case already has perforated holes for the fans so "Medium Hole" (vs Small) seemed more appropriate. No problems lining up on the outside of the case. Ordered a 2nd.

This is a nice mesh screen, not quite fine enough for a dust filter. The edges are not well finished, nothing sharp but don't look clean if visible. The mesh is thick enough to hold its shape well, even if bumped.

I actually bought this as a cover for a air vent on a project box with electronics that got warm. I needed a cover that protected the components from anything falling into the box and also would allow air flow. This worked perfect. I would buy again
