Love these. The bluetooth works great just as with hard wiring. But I like not having the wires. Too many as it is. The sound is great. I use them for monitoring my radio station and for playback of music I record. God investment. Setup quick and easy.

These nice looking flat black bookshelf size speakers are quality built MDF/wood cabinets that sound superior to plastic cabinets. The bluetooth in mine worked perfectly. The low notes, such as from a bass guitar, are easy to hear and have a mid-range quality. The mid and high notes come through nicely. The cabinets each have vent holes under the grill cloth to allow air to escape when speaker cone movement displaces it. FYI, they can be plenty loud for a large bedroom. Tip: I use the free FXSound app as my equalizer and sound mixer to really draw out all that these speakers are capable of delivering and I've yet to see any ads in this app! Also, you can download even more free EQ voices for the app after installation by going directly to the FXSound website for the update. Together they're good stuff. I'm keeping them.

Sound quality is great. The build quality is good. It's on the bigger size, so if you're planning on putting them on your desk be prepared for it to take up a certain amount of your desk. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 is that the speakers are great, but the website description was misleading. It says you can have simultaneous connections. But, what they mean is that you can keep two sources connected, but only one can play. This will not act as a mixer. And, switching to the Bluetooth connector requires that you press a small button that's easily missed. And, switching from the two RCA input requires that you press the volume button. So, that's a bit confusing.

When listening to something in aux lines in,(for me a turntable) the Bluetooth will disconnect from the app after awhile. Then to reconnect you have to reach behind the speaker to start bluetooth again. Then when you have it reconnected you have to reconnect to the aux in. Sucks because I have it stored in a small shelf space and not easy to reach behind. They should have at least put the controls on the front or not disconnect bluetooth 30 minutes. Sound is great for a small space and the price. I will keep them but no thrilled with BT connectivity.

The sound from these speakers is great quality for the price. Easy set up and installation.

Estoy súper mega satisfecho con estás bocinas. Tengo que admitir que pensé que serían más pequeñas, pero son más grandes de lo que imaginé (y eso es bueno), sin embargo, fuera de eso... Es lo mejor por el precio, se escucha super mega bien en agudos y graves, tienen buen peso, se sienten de muy buena calidad al tacto, se escuchan muy alto y que tenga el Bluetooth es todavía más útil. Lo único es que me gustaría que la aplicación oficial tuviera más cosas, pero es limitada, pero eso es cuestión de la aplicación, no del producto. 5 estrellas porque no le puedo poner más :)

En los altavoces activos como estos el amplificador tiene un sistema de auto-mute para cuando no recibe señal no haga el hiss o ruido de fondo tan evidente. Pero es que a volumenes bajos el hiss sigue siendo muy evidente. Obviamente tiene que ver con el precio que pagas, pero si llego a saber que es tan exagerado hubiera comprado otros un poco mas caros. Para un comedor de unos 30m2no es suficiente volumen.

Got these on sale though i suspect they are used because the tape had signs of repackaging. I purchased a pair of edifier m60 a few weeks back and they are amazing for the sound it outputs for such a little speaker. so when i saw the r990bt for less than $80, i thought why not? The r990bt's are fairly small and compact and the sound is good but nothing to rave on about. The edifier connex app is available to change the equalization of the speakers which does help a little. I used an external equalizer to test what the speaker is capable of and there is potential for better bass but at higher volumes the sound is distorted. I would be happy with these as desktop speakers at this price but if you can spend more, there are better options available even from edifier.
