High quality, well built, perfectly balanced and robust for a good price
I order a lot of items off Amazon but rarely take the time to provide a review. In this case, I am making an exception as I am very impressed with the quality of this Kukri from Condor. I own a tree farm and use cutting blades on a weekly basis. I was looking for a blade that was heavier than the general Kukris or machetes / woodsman tools in the market. This Kukri has good weight, strong carbon steel and a comfortable and appropriate sized mikarta handle with a heavy duty flat butt on the handle which you could hammer nails with (although obviously not the intended use) if needed. It comes with a form fitting kydex sheath which perfectly fits and protects the blade and enables the user to carry it on their belt. It can easily and quickly be removed from the sheath, contrary to other reviews I've read about this product. The extra weight and carbon steel (which holds a sharp edge) enables it to slice through wood like a hot knife through butter. I'm thrilled with the quality of this Kukri and feel like it was worth every penny. You won't be disappointed with it.

This kukri chops and can bushcraft
This kukri was able to chop wood with very little effort, and weeds as well, i also was able to carve and do feathersticks with, it is very well balanced, the micarta feels great, and with the grip it wont leave your hand after a lot of chopping the size is great, overall a must have.

Very pleased
First, as for some reviewers talking about the strap on the sheath or the knife fitting too tightly; this has been the case with the majority of the kydex sheaths I've ever purchased. It's better, and easier, to adjust a kydex sheath that is too tight rather than too large and loose. Simply run a heat gun (cheap to buy one and has a lot of uses) on low to medium over the "tight" area for a few moments and then fit the knife in and out slowly and carefully a few times. Repeat as necessary. You want it snug and not so loose that the knife rattles too much when secured. I did this, took literally 5 minutes, and now the knife and the strap fits perfectly. As for the kukri itself, I'm very pleased with the quality at first look and will try to update this when I use it...one last thing, don't know why or how this happens, but when I purchased this kukri, the seller and shipper showed as BladeHQ. I contacted Condor and they confirmed them as an authorized seller. After I placed my order, on "order details" BladeHQ still showed as the seller and shipper and indeed I received it from them. However, on the product page to order again. another company now shows as the seller and shipper and I cannot navigate to that item with BladeHQ. Odd - I'm sure this is on Amazon.

Awesome knife, well worth the price.
Just holding this knife you can feel the power and weight of it coursing through your veins, it really is a beast. Took this out camping last weekend and it held up in every way I had wanted. Used it for batoning and had absolutely no issues at all chopping right through the wood, it was almost too easy. I saw a video where someone was batoning on the handle and the dual micarta scales started splitting apart, but I've had no issues with mine and I don't foresee that happening in the future. Speaking of handles, it is probably one of my favorite parts of the knife. It is lovely to hold, curves under just perfectly, and looks amazing. The sheathe is ok as far as kydex ones go. My only complaint is the leather straps on the back were splitting apart before I even used it. I am going to address this with Condor and hopefully they will send a replacement sheathe. After beating up on this knife all weekend, it really doesn't even look the least bit worn. This knife is definitely made to do work, and it does so with flying colors. If you can find this knife in stock at a reasonable price, buy it. You will really love it.

A good knife, but a long way from perfect.
This is a good strong knife, but could be better. Much better. The materials are first rate, but the finish could use some help. The "satin" finish on the blade looks like it was ground out with a 200 grit belt and left as-is. It's very rough. ( A satin finish is usually done with 300 to 400 grit. )And that black crap on the top quarter of the blade and the pommel is completely unnecessary. The knife would be better without it.I also don't think the blade needs to be as thick as it is. About 3 - 3 1/2 mm would be plenty. The sheath is okay, and can be converted to horizontal/scout carry simply by removing the drop loop. My 1 - 1/2 inch wide belt works just fine with it.As many have mentioned, the knife came dull. We're talking a blister-rubbing edge here.No big deal to someone who can sharpen a blade, but for anybody looking for sharp right out of the box... this knife isn't for you.So as I've said, it's a good strong knife. The 1075 steel is tough, holds a good edge, and is easy to sharpen. The linen micarta grip is well-shaped and not slick or slippery. So in general I like the thing. But only because I can and will correct most of its flaws. It will probably become one of my favorite knives, once I'm done working on it.But right this minute, it's just so-so.
