Cleaned very well. Wouldn't use for spot cleaning as you can see where you cleaned (residue maybe) and was done on a brand new hat. Cleaned whole hat and looked great

First, this worked really well to clean my husbands dirty ball cap. He wore it while he was working outside on a day that was particularly hot and the hat got sweaty. Although this says you do not need water, I gave that hat a quick rinse to get the soap out and to ensure there weren’t any water marks left on the hat since it is bright red. My hats need a little less heavy duty cleaning and this is perfect for them too. Although not heavily soiled, I do tend to get makeup marks on the inner brim of my hats. This works well to remove those marks without the need to wet and wash the entire hat. I used it on my ball cap and my UV wide brimmed sun hat and the results were nice.

This is a solid cleaner for light stains, however it doesn't fully remove the sweat stains that show up on black hats easily.
