Ideal for Home, Caravan or Arthritis
We were worried in case it tainted the boiled water. But "No Worries" on that score. Boils quickly enough on all camp sites and is really light and easy to handle. It would be ideal for home use where someone has Arthritis and has difficulty lifting weighty kettles. It is surprising how many times our kettle is NOT filled to the top when we are making a brew-up or gravy etcetera. We bought a similar light plastic one for home but can't use it for caravanning as that is 2200 watts far too high most most continental camp sites. So the Quest 1 litre low wattage we would recommend for usage as mentioned in our heading.

Quest low wattage kettle
Nice little kettle this,The purchase was prompted by a lot of 6amp supplies on the continent especially on the motorhome aire'sThis kettle has a capacity of one litre but two thirds full will give you two mugs and will take 3mins. to boil.Consumption is 700-900 watts (current just under 4amps ) so no more tripping on the aires.Compact, light, and reasonably priced so ideal for caravans and motorhomes. The usual good service from Amazon both on price and delivery.

Does what it says on the box.
Does what it says on the box. Low wattage and small so ideal in caravan BUT - takes forever - and I do mean loads and loads of boils to get rid of the taste and smell of plastic in your drinks! Some plastic kettles are worse than others, and this is one of those I'm afraid. Had it for several weeks now and used it all the time but it still tastes nasty!

it works fine, boils fairly quickly
Rated down a star as the Quest kettle is not the one I received. I received a Kingavon branded kettle instead, looks very similar to the picture, except this is a 900w kettle, not a 1000w as the one I ordered. When tested, it works fine, boils fairly quickly, the only criticism I have is that it is sometimes tricky to locate the kettle onto the base unit, as the safety shutters over the electric contacts seem a bit stiff to allow the kettle to fit on easily. Hopefully, this will sort itself out with use.

Two potentially serious problems.1/ The instructions say boil water twice before use. I boiled water the first time, emptied it and lifted the lid to boil water the second time. When I opened the lid, very hot water trickled onto my hand which was round the hand grip. I think this water was from the auto switch off mechanism. So be careful if you are planning an immediate refill.2/ The lid is opened by squeezing together two buttons on the lid. The squeeze required may be too much for arthritic fingers if the kettle is bought for use by an elderly person.

Good little kettle
Bought this to use in our new motorhome. It works well, used for a month so far. It only holds just under a litre so just makes a decent pot of tea, but boils much quicker than the kettle we have for the gas hob.

Neat little cordless kettle
We are delighted with this cordless kettle which is perfect for our motor home and tucks away neatly in a drawer. Although it is a low wattage it seems to still boil fairly quickly.
