Cost effective solution to an old problem...
I had a post in my boundary fence that had rotted through. I might have been tempted to put in a concrete spur, but there were several large, well-established plants in the way, so that wasn't really an option. So I bought a set of these. And they do the job perfectly, giving a nice, sturdy fix. I've only just installed them, so it'll be interesting to see how they cope with one or two winter storms, but there's no "play" in the post, now. Importantly, one needs little room to work, which meant that the plants were saved. They're simplicity itself to install: a lump hammer, a screwdriver and some elbow grease - although I would say that a pair of gloves might be an idea if you want to avoid blisters - fourteen 60mm screws is hard on your hands if you don't have an electric screwdriver.Anyway, bottom line: well pleased!

Fence fix
Have bought a good few of them over the past couple of years, and they are easy to install and do a very good job 👍

Lasted 4 winters, maybe should have had a proper fence repair instead
These were relatively easy to install (two on each side of post) with a sledge hammer and electric screwdriver, but would have been a good excuse to buy an impact driver. They lasted one winter perfect, and two winters at a bit of an angle and one winter with the fence held up with a strap fromm a handily placed tree in high winds. I then spent £132 for a local fencing contractor to put in a concrete spur which (currently) feels a lot more solid and is maybe what I should done in the first place. If that doesn't last then I'll come back here and increase my rating for the metal bars :-)Perhaps view them as an emergency winter repair and then get the job done properly in the following summer.

Low cost, effective repair solution
4x4 Fence Post snapped during storm. As many know replacing the concrete embedded post was going to be laborious, time consuming, expensive diy & painful (back injury). After getting contractor quote, did a little research & discovered post buddy system. Bought a four pack so I had a spare set in reserve. Following informative instructions, prepped area, with a 2Ib lump hammer the rods were surprisingly easy to drive in to the wooden stump in concrete. After trying to screw in the 5x60mm screw, which stopped short. Utilised 5x40mm sprayed with GT85 spray. 30 minutes later my damaged post was returned to a new like rock solid fence post. I'm not a DIY enthusiast, so reading instructions & prep was essential. Great product which I'm happy to recommend, the price may seem a little expensive (it's not compared to even DIY removal & replacement), but it is well worth the investment. Also happy I now have spare set for next storm!! Hope my review provides you with informed purchase.

Expensive strips of metal
They do work to a degree , but a lot will depend on just how good the condition of the post and concrete are below ground. I've done 2 posts both are more stable but not solid. I'll hold back on more stars until they've been through a winter. Do not buy screws from the supplier, I got 10 times the amount from screwfix for the same price

So far so good
Found this product by accident on youtube. After the storm, I had one post snapped at the usual point just above the ground. I didn't really fancy digging it out due to being busy and a bit lazy.I thought I would, therefore, take a look at this - for £14 it seemed a lot less hassle than doing it "properly".The thing turned up and was very easy to install. Maybe too easy as I was expecting a hard time hammering the thing in with a lump hammer (and you really do need a lump hammer). Maybe the post is more rotten further down than expected. So both stakes slipped in nicely and with a few decent screws it felt pretty solid. I reattached the fence and within 15 minutes I was all done.I bought SEQUAL® Hyper Drive Wood Screws M5x50mm that are excellent.Age will tell how good the thing will last but it seems like an obvious and good idea.
