I ordered this mold making kit to use with my resin crafts. I had a few pieces of jewelry that I wanted to recreate in resin, so I decided to try making a mold of them. Overall, this kit worked well for simple molds. I really liked the fact that the parts are premeasured and just have to be kneaded together. It definitely is fast setting, so be sure you have everything ready. I was able to make several resin pieces out of each mold that I made. I was somewhat disappointed that it didn't work well for larger 3D type molds. I tried making a mold of a small animal figure and the material was not flexible enough to release the original figure without cracking and tearing. I was still able to make a resin figure with the mold, but could see the flaws in the finished item. Overall, this mold making kit works fine for simple, one sided items, but not for more complex molds.

This product will work for making small molds from jewelry pieces, etc. However it is meant primarily for making dental impressions. I think that is why the finished mold isn't as flexible as it should be.

This silicone putty is a solid product for molding and crafting. It’s incredibly easy to mix and use, and the curing time is quick without being rushed, giving you plenty of time to work with it. The flexibility and texture are perfect for capturing fine details, which is great for more intricate projects. One thing to note, like some others mentioned, is that it can be a bit stiffer than expected when you first start working with it, but once it gets going, it’s very manageable. I also noticed a bit of stickiness during the mixing process, but it didn’t affect the end result. Overall, it’s a reliable silicone putty that gets the job done well—definitely worth a try if you’re into DIY projects or crafting (which is what I'm into).

For the price, this mold doesn't give you a lot to work with. I tried it on a small art piece and although it captured a lot of detail, the mold was so stiff it was hard to get the original out. The instructions and mixing method are easy enough, although I found it a bit loose for my liking. This finished mold was stiff and weak/crumbly. It tore in half after one casting, and for the price I'd expect a mold to stand up to multiple casts to be worthwhile. This is not worth it for art IMO, you are better off with the many other options for mold materials. It does come with teeth trays, so maybe that's how it's best used, but since I'm not a dentist, I can't speak to that.

So, when this product showed up, I was kind of surprised by the packaging and what it seemed to be for. Even though it was listed for art, jewelry, and other mold-making stuff, it really looks like it’s meant for dental molds, which, by the way, wasn’t mentioned at all in the product name.Each silicone mix piece is packed in these handy little plastic ball containers. That’s actually pretty cool because you don’t have to measure anything out. Just grab one blue and one white ball, mix them together, and you’re good to go.Also, there were a bunch of dental teeth mold forms included – which, again, made it seem like this is definitely more geared towards making dental molds. But honestly, you can still use it for making molds for charms, jewelry, or whatever other creative projects you have in mind. It just wasn't super clear from the description that it’s so dental-focused.Overall, the product works as it should and I really like that the different mixing parts are pre-measured and packaged separately.

I used this mold putty on a small plastic jar that I wanted to be able to mold with epoxy and it worked pretty good. Not fallible, but I made sure that I followed all directions to a T. It worked pretty good but I am not sure I would go out of my way to purchase again. I don't want to discourage the purchase, but if you need mold putty for setting up a good casting mold for anything larger than a small item of 2-3 inches, you might consider going with a different putty. If you are looking for a decent putty for small items, this one works just fine! I hope you find this review helpful!
