Very sturdy and looks nice
This fits my 2018 CX5 Touring perfectly. Delivery was super fast, although it says 1 week delivery, it arrived in only two days via UPS. Installation is easy - there were no hitches! I had it installed by a local mechanic for a few bucks.

Fits the 2017 Mazda CX-5 very well.
I installed the tow hitch myself, without the use of a floor jack to hold the hitch in place while I installed the four bolts that connect to the SUV body. It was a bit difficult, but I did OK. A second pair of hands would have been very helpful. The fit was tight, but perfect. I made the mistake of taking the top rubber exhaust hangers off of the SUV. I installed the hitch only to discover that there was absolutely no room between the hitch and steel hanger stem to replace the rubber hangers. I had to remove the hitch, place the rubber hangers back on the SUV, then re-install the hitch. That was difficult and added a lot of extra work. The installation instructions did not clearly state to not remove the top rubber hangers from the SUV. However, the graphical illustration did. My mistake.Overall the hitch works well. One note of caution is that the clearance from the bottom of the hitch to the pavement is only 8.5 inches. I was expecting it to be more like 12 inches. I think this is by design. It has not bottomed out yet, but I would not be surprised if I get into a situation where it does. I still recommend this hitch to others. It is a very good product.

Very Sturdy, good finnish, complete installation hardware
Fits our 2016.5 CX-5 great. Was installed DIY in our garage with a limited number of tools, with only the rear wheels raised on a couple of Rhino Ramps. A second pair of hands could be valuable, but I managed to do this by myself in the span of 1Hr or so.I chose to remove the rear exhaust muffler completely which simplified access. If you remove the rear suitcase/muffler, make sure the rubber insulators the exhaust is hanged from, are left on the vehicle hangers and not the exhaust itself, as the hitch frame will prevent you from installing them again once in place.I would recommend you watching a couple of Youtube videos on installing this or similar products for the CX-5 and you will get a hang of the whole operation way more clearly than just flipping the instructions included. The biggest challenge was applying the required torque w/o removing the lower part of the rear bumper, as my 1/2" HFT torque wrench is long with low ratchet engagement (36T?) and I only had the arc that the exhaust tip gap allowed me to. Especially the bolts closer to the front of the vehicle were the hardest to reach but it worked out. A higher engagement or shorter torque wrench would work better (but also make it hard to reach the proper torque).

Pretty easy installation
Fits my 2019 Mazda CX-5 perfectly, and installation was not a problem. Just need a pry bar (got a $5 one from Walmart that worked perfectly), a torque wrench ($20 off Amazon), and some straps and an extra set of hands. Really not crazy

Product is fine. But it wasn’t an (very) easy install, at least for me.
There are reviews mentioning it’s (very) easy install, but at least it wasn’t for a first timer like me. I’m no mechanic, somewhat the level where I would call building an IKEA furniture as “very easy”. Installing this hitch was a magnitude trickier than IKEA. If you would find IKEA tricky, I’d advise you to find a mechanic to install it.Some tips on install: (At least how it worked for me)0. Read instructions. Watch YouTube. Go under your car to study. Be prepared.1. Get you tools ready. You need those clicking wrenches and extender for the wrenches.2. Get some planks, solid bricks etc (I used a paint can) sou you can prop up the exhaust/hitch while installing.3. Ideally find an extra pair of hands. Even if it’s just passing tools to you, or emotional help, it helps.0. Watch YouTube instructions again, keep that app on with the smartphone.4. Remove that plastic lip from the rear bumper.5. Spray WD40 or equivalent to the rubber insulators. Wait 10mins for it to penetrate.6. Pry off the rubber insulators. You really need to heave. I used the nail removing end of a hammer.7. Thread through the bolts to their places.8. Using masking tape, tape the washers to the hitch.9. Insert the hitch into place. This I found was most challenging step.* I used the planks and bricks to lift the hitch little by little, inserting them one by one.* Nuts on the far/deeper side are easier to install. I loosely screwed them on first so it will hold that end up.* I attached end of the bicycle mount to the hitch end so I can pull the hitch up with leverage. This helped a lot.10. Tighten the bolts, enough to hold the hitch.11. Put the rubber things holding the exhaust pipe back.* I needed to apply some more WD40 to lubricate.* Do the lower pair first, as they now have less moving space due to the hitch.12. Tighten the bolts.Hope this helps.

Not compatible with CX5 2024 CE
Seems like heavy duty, but unfortunately not compatible with 2024 CX5 CE as stated, you will need mount with side holes to the frame, not from the bottom (Check Mazda official website to understand needed mount). Hook that hanging exhaust will not allow you to mount it.
