This is a great little copy stand
This is a great little copy stand but please bear in mind that 'little' is the operative word, the base is just under a foot (12") square and the height is around the same, if you are photographing small objects/pictures, this is perfect but if you are looking to photograph something that is bigger than A5 you will need a much bigger copy stand. The stand is well constructed and simple to put together, in fact there is nothing to dislike about it as it is very sturdy and well made, just be aware of its size and whether that will fit your requirements, for me it is perfect as I am only photographing old slides and negatives.

Not that sturdy
The height adjustment isn't enough for a 105mm macro lens. At full height the camera support is very wobbly and if using the shutter delay 10 secs isn't enough to stop the camera vibrating with a dslr. Quite expensive for what it is and for scanning slides which I bought it for, useless. The angle that the camera mounts to is very springy and the bottom threaded section of the post is too short to fully thread on the supplied nut.

Not for 120 roll film
Perfect for 35mm negative scanning. My Fuji X-T3 has has plenty of room with a 60mm macro lens. However, you cannot extend it upwards enough to scan 120 film - had I realised I would have bought the medium copy stand instead. Back to the tripod for those negs... Quality is average, to be expected for the price. As others have said, the L bracket is a little on the thin side and does flex somewhat. Use a remote (not cable) and you will be fine. Only 4 stars as the main nut for the upright post was missing - luckily I had one in the junkbox so problem sorted.

really good value and good low down macro shots with some ...
Ideal for macro objects and possible to get A4 copy, I succeeded by laying some heavy cardboard on the base and using my 12-1200 lens got a reasonable copy, really depends on the camera and lens though, really good value and good low down macro shots with some adjustments.

Could be better but it's let down by 1 part
Although overall it's not too bad it could greatly be improved if they made the right-angled part that the camera screws onto a bit more robust, it is far too thin in the thickness of it and because of this, it causes the camera to shake at the slightest touch. You would definitely need to use either the camera timer or a remote to trigger the shutter release and make sure nobody walks across the room! Note to the manufacturer, if you do make a thicker part, please send me one and I'll update my review to 5 stars! Speaking as an engineer, even making it a square with 45 degree support pieces instead of a right angle would help it greatly.

Poor Quality Control
Arrived today item seems well made but without the correct bolts I am unable to use it. Box was intact so error must have been made when the item was made.
