The bottom compartment can be used to store your ground herb or to hold and collect pollen. Our grinders are fairly simple tools and easy to use: 1. Place your herbs or Spices onto the teeth towards the outside rim. (Material should be dry enough for grinder to work properly. 2. Close and rotate the lid approx. five times in each direction. 3. Gentley tap to get the ground material out. 4. After a few uses fine material will collect on the bottom.
