This was for a gift, but I've been told it's really lovely to use. It did smell gorgeous. A nice, good quality soap.

This is a soap by that I mean it does nothing more than other brands, it cleans well but dried my skin out. As for the smell couldn’t smell any sandalwood at all it just smells like generic soap.

First off, let me say that I never leave reviews. But this? This masterpiece of mediocrity was so monumentally underwhelming I felt a moral obligation to warn humanity.Yes, technically it’s soap. I mean, it lathers. It cleans. It does all the basic soap things you’d expect from a bar that didn’t fall straight out of a Victorian workhouse.Now, about that “Sandalwood” scent. I was thrilled at the promise. I envisioned warm, earthy, exotic notes swirling in a cloud of luxurious calm. What I actually got was the olfactory equivalent of a damp mop abandoned in a motorway service station bathroom. Not even a whisper of sandalwood. It’s like the scent caught one whiff of the bar and ran screaming in the opposite direction. Legendary vanishing act, really.If you’ve ever thought, “I wonder what disappointment smells like?” well this bar of soap is your answer. Just don’t bother. No, seriously. Use mud. Rub yourself with gravel. You’ll come out cleaner, spiritually and physically.You’re welcome.

The soap has a great lava but could do with a stronger smell.
