Fits great and serves the purpose.

This thread protector works great on my .300 Blackout SBRs when they're not hosting suppressors, brakes, or flash hiders. I carry the SBR in the photos in a backpack, so I want it as compact as possible. This thread protector allows me to remove any muzzle devices in order to get the OAL as short as possible, and still keep the threads protected so that they don't get damaged and prevent me from being able to reattach muzzle devices. The rough diamond pattern texture gives enough grip to easily install and remove the thread protector. The flat black color prevents unwanted muzzle reflections and potential glare. It's a good product at a great price. I recommend it!

This is a great little protector for those exposed threads. I have a couple of them now. They are just a fraction too small (O.D.) for my Savage LRP barrels and just a bit undersized for my Savage Varmint barrels. Hard to find the exact sizes, but this is a nice go between.About the only detraction is that the coating appears rough. Like a melonited military part, hence the 4-Star. The display picture is EXACTLY like what you'll get. I do Cerakote, so I simply koted mine, but if you're looking for a fine finish, you'll need to find another. Otherwise it's a great product, especially for the price!!

I lost the thread cap that came with my Remington 700 AAC-SD .308WIN. This fit perfectly. You might want wipe it down with some gun lube or oil first. It just has the factory coating on it. I spayed some RemOil on it and it’s been great. Shot about 25 rounds with it on and it’s still hanging on tight, no rattle or vibration and still easy to remove.

Threads are made in different sizes for different calibers of firearms. Be sure to order the correct size.

I understand that you can't make thread protectors to match every barrel finish in bulk. However, I didn't expect to receive this with rust on it. It's nothing a wire brush and a shot of duracoat can't fix. But, really? Rust? It does the job just fine, but for some reason I expected better.

Fits perfectly on a Christensen Arms traverse barrel. I like the knurled outer shell.

Purchased this to protect the thread on my hunting rifle in 308 Win. Threads perfectly mated threads on my rifle and to my surprise I got a nice crusher washer with it so now the protector passes a bit over the muzzle and protects the crown much better then if was just screwed on without the washer. Super cheap and yet made like a tank, totally recommend if you need to protect your threads and add some extra protection for your crown.

This thread protector is really designed for bull/heavy barrels. It is quite large (as in fat)
