Q: how to install this medallion? Do i need to buy the Medallion Victorian Style White Finish to make this one work?

I'm not sure what you need to make work. I bought it and painted it a teal color to match my daughters decor. It is beautiful. Not that big though. My other daughter has a 13 x 13 room and I believe hers was 20 inch. Make sure to look for measure guide before you purchase. You can google the question.

Q: Can I nail the medallion to the ceiling? Does anyone try it before? will the medallion crack from the nail hole?

If you are going to nail/screw the medallion to the ceiling I would drill a pilot hole first to avoid a possible crack.
