I bought this item after trying to replace it's predecessor. On a recent fishing trip, the lid blew out of my boat. I must not have secured it. The design of this model appeared improved in many ways. The former had 'breather' slots in the lid, which allowed rainwater to enter and had my battery sitting in water until I next opened the case. This box has no such slots, but they are not needed as the multiple ways that wiring can be connected easily provide adequate ventilation. I'm somewhat confused by some of the reviews that question the thickness of the plastic. This plastic is at least as thick any other box I've seen, and the more rounded corners seem to give it more rigidity. I've not mentioned the added hardware (tie strap, screws and extra plate), as I don't envision screwing this box into the bottom of my boat, but they are a nice touch. One other nice touch is the honeycombing on the inside bottom of the box. It makes sense. Why have a smooth bottom. This should reduce movement of the battery inside the box. Overall: looks very nice, solid design and good protection from the elements.

Good box and good value. The only thing I didn’t like was the screws. You are better off using stronger similar size screws. Overall very sturdy!

This product was too small so unfortunately we couldn’t use it. It arrived on time and was just as described.

Work in progress, on my eBike. Box is satisfactory for the purpose. A flatter top would be easier for mounting accessories. My GoldenMate 20A battery - not a U1- fills just over half the width, so I have some room left for wiring. (Which is what I wanted.) Not sure why you would need to poke open vent holes on the top of the lid (as indicated inside) when you have wire ports along the edges. Just saying... Decent plastic thickness. Drills easy. Adding main power switch and a USB port to whats in the pic, and it's done...

I might have done better getting one that is easily mounted, but this is good for now and keeps the battery safe and dry.

Excelente producto. No le doy 5 estrellas por su forma de empacarlo. La tap debería venir empaquetada para no sufrir rayaduras al venir en la parte baja se frota y se raya. Como en mi caso la tapa parece usada. Fuera de eso buen producto. Mejoren su embalaje de envío

Most other battery boxes have flimsy walls and/or lids which don't inspire confidence. This one seems about as well built as one could reasonably expect from a plastic battery box.

Worked like it should...

The exact size for my HumsiENK 12V 50Ah LiFePO4 Battery, no wasted space and the lid snaps on nicely, great addition to my kayak setup!
