Good, but not curriculum focused.
There are some great concepts in these books, great for misconceptions. However, even though this says, “secondary chemistry,” I believe it fails for KS3. The concepts are too difficult, and saying for example that we don’t use the words forces, but instead use the words, “ holding together,” would lose marks as these are not words looked for in marking schemes of GCSE curriculum.

Bought but not needed
Bought when starting teacher training but I haven't really used it much, and I'm still teaching so can at least refer to it if needed

USeful for any NQTs
I am an NQT teaching Chemistry although my specialism is physics. I have found this book really useful and particularly like it when it grades pupils, it says things like if you know this your working at a C, if you know this your working at an A.... this really helped me and the pupils!

Secondary Chemistry
I really like this because it goes into detail about what pupils don't get and how you can help them.
