I'm giving the Ludos earbuds a 5 star rating based on the quality for the price. I have a couple pairs of Ear Fun wireless earbuds, but haven't wired earbuds since the "beats by Dr. Dre" buds that came with my HTC Rezound phone. I thought those were great, but they failed years ago. I've been wanting wired earbuds for hiking and working in the yard, stuff like that where wireless tend to fall out of my ears. I've been waiting to get a dac/dongle so i could use wired buds with my phone, and finally bit the bullet when Walmart had the Helm Audio bolt on sale for $60.I read reviews on various buds and based on the Ludos reviews, i figured for $8 i couldn't go wrong. At the same time, i bought a pair of HiFi C10 earbuds for $30 (i bought all of these products on or about Prime day, so got great prices). I expected the C10s would have much better sound, but they have a much larger earpiece, and i didn't like the idea of the large earpieces in my sweaty ears (may as well dip them in the ocean!). Thus, the Ludos earbuds.I first tried the Ludos buds (and C10) on my laptop bc it has a 3.5 mm jack and a USB-C plug, so i could compare the buds with and without the Bolt dac, streaming via Amazon Music HD. Without the Bolt, the Ludos buds sounded very good. There wasn't a lot of dynamic range, but the highs, mids and lows were fairly well defined amd the music sounded good. The sound improved a bit with the Bolt dac, but more noticeable was the increased volume, due to the dac amp. For the price, i was pleased with the sound. Hiking with my Pixel 8 and Ludos buds jacked into the Helm Bolt, i'm pleased with sound, which, bc of mobile data, i listen to at SD (but i also tested HD with the phone and the buds sound a bit better). With respect to the C10s, the sound quality was orders of magnitude better than the Ludos buds (mucho dynamic range) - well worth 4x the cost of the Ludos - but, again, i bought the Ludos for listening under sweating conditions. Surprisingly, i didn't hear the boost in volume with C10s and the Bolt dac, like i did with the Ludos buds, but, though it's not a competition, the C10s clearly outperformed the Ludos buds.As other reviewers have mentioned, the build quality of the Ludos earbuds are quite good. They seem like they will take the snags and tugs inevitable with hiking and working while wearing them pretty well, and after a couple of uses, and snags, i'm happy to be listening to tunes on my hikes. And my ears are not overheating! The Ludos earbuds are much better than "couldn't go wrong. Good product Ludos, and great value!

These headphones are great. I just got them today, so I will update this review if I notice any quality issues. But I am hard of hearing and struggle with cheap headphones, and these are the clearest headphones I have ever used. I am easily able to understand what is playing on my phone without any issue. So I can’t speak to how it does with certain pitches since I’m not that technical I can say that the sound is clear which is really what I need in a pair of headphones. My right ear is also misshapen so I can only wear in ear gummy headphones or over ear headphones. These are the only gummy headphones I have ever found that do not need an accessory plug to connect them to my iPhone. I tested the mic and it seems like it works well. It is a little bit larger than some brands I have tried in the past, but it isn’t too easy to bump the button. I like listening to audio books at night and some headphones if I bump the mic at all the pause button gets bumped and pauses the book. The pause/siri button is easy to push on purpose, but it has enough resistance that I don’t think I will be accidentally bumping it constantly. The metal case and bag they came with also are a fantastic touch. The metal case in particular will work great for traveling and I can keep the extra ear pieces in it incase the rubber piece falls off the end and I lose it. I will definitely be buying these again. They seem like high quality headphones for an affordable price that I can use even with my hearing loss. I highly recommend this brand!

For the price they were great quality. Used them on trips and my kid used them for the school year and still going. Going to use them for the next school year in 6th grade. Good fit and sound quality. I would buy again.

PROS:- great sound- good quality- comfortable angle, the buds fit in your ear well- no cracking or screechingCONS:- I wish the length of the ear wire was a tiny bit longer for when I'm leaning back from my computer but that's nit pickyOPINION:FOR $13? I THINK THESE ARE A GOOD DEAL & WORTH THE MONEY.NOTE: read the directions when they come. Someone (cough ;) didn't & since the buttons aren't divided, you have to click 1x for volume increase, 2x changes to a new song, etc It's an easy fix!

I am blown away with the sound quality of these wired earbuds! These easily blow Skullcandy out of the water in the sound department and are also built more durable. The chord is thick unlike many budget earbuds and it is the perfect length for using on a Laptop. These earbuds also have a mic and cell phone call controls but I mainly use these for listening to music and other media on my PC Laptop. I am a Metal Head (into mostly underground Death Metal) and these Ludos earbuds are tuned perfectly to hear every instrument clearly even the Bass guitar parts in songs clearly come through. These earbuds also seem very durable and are a great value with the included 5 year warranty.The only con I have found is they do tend to slip out of the ears if they get too much earwax on them.
