HOW TO USE CHALK MARKERS? 1. For your first time use, hold the marker with the tip facing up and depress the tip to release any pressure. 2. With the cap on shake vigorously for 30 seconds. You should hear the ball-bearings rattling around inside the pen. 3. Hold the pen vertically (tip down) and press the nib in for 30-60 seconds on a horizontal surface such as paper, card etc. You will see ink start to seep into the nib. You can pump the nib a few times to help the process along until the ink floods the tip, then immediately release pressure on the nib.
