Great techniques , very poorly explained
It is very hard to understand the sequence , since the pictures are not numbered , and sometimes the angle shifts makes the content pretty hard to grasp , without saying the pretty vague descriptions , I have lost of judo books and this one doesn’t cut it . Looks like they are not interested into revealing the “secrets” of Kosen judo

I like the book
I like the book. It is a little confusing because everyone is wearing white gis. But good to see how ground work is taught in Japan. This is the style used at the Seven Universities competitions.

Hard to find gold in the dross
This book shows many excellent ne-waza techniques and tips. Unfortunately the gold is hidden in the dross of poor organisation of material and small, unnumbered photographs with, sometimes, confusing explanations. The price is high, and the name Kimura on the author list is not THE Kimura. I was disappointed in the quality of the presentation and would recommend thinking twice (or more) about spending on this book.

I like the way the way the book is set up. I found the photos and instructions easy to understand. A wide range of positions and situations are covered. This book is both comprehensive and practical. I highly recommend this book.
