Q: What is the weight limit for these tensioners?

Hello, I just connected a tensioner and some Guyline to a 70 lb weight. I lifted up the weight, then jerked it really hard (trying to break the tensioner). The tensioner didn't break but the cord slipped a little bit through the tensioner. I was using 1.8mm cord and I would guess the force was over 120 lbs before the tensioner slipped. If you were using thicker diameter cord that number would increase before it slipped. Hope this helps.

Q: Could i use these with 5/32" diam 550 cord?

5/32” is what I used, but that is the maximum.

Q: Will this work with 550 cord?

Paracord 550 is about 4mm in diameter, which is a little bit too big to work with these tensioners.
