ABC British Motor Cars 1950s

Book came on time.Got the book for my son for Christmas.He is in to cars in a big way.What he knows about cars is great.What he does not know about cars 🚘 is he will find out.So this book will become one for this collection.

Brilliant little book on the lines of the Observers books. It has the cars of the fifties, plus International Identification Letters, British Registration Letters, Sports Cars, plus a section on British Roads, which gives you the road number and then tells you which towns it goes through.

Not expensive. Essentially just a 1958 reprint.

Anyone who loves cares will love this book!!A superb publication in every sense of the word!!Don't miss this publication if you were around in the 1950'sand loved that generation of cars!!Highly recommended

This book pretends to be the "abc British Motor Cars 1950's" so I expected it to list all vehicles the title represents (misrepresents), both pictorially and by written specification.Whilst there is a lot of other information regarding registration numbers and roads etc. which may be interesting in its own right, the actual car content is sadly lacking, showing vehicles that are from only 1956? or 1957? and even then only chosen examples.Very disappointed - I will probably return it based on being not as advertised.

Great book,but smaller than imagined!

For those of us over a certain age, these books from the 1950s and 1960s evoke quite a bit of nostalgia, so it was nice to see that they reprinted three books (British cars and British Sports Cars 1957, and British Roads 1957) in one volume. If you enjoy reading about late 1950s cars such as Jaguar XK140, Rolls Royce Silver Cloud, and all the other classics of the day, this book will be well worth buying.
