It’s a good project it works

My dog loves these, which makes my life easier in giving her an Omega 3 supplement.

This review is for the Pet Protect from The Makers of Advantage Omega 3 Supplement for M/L Dogs | 250 Capsules.I am hoping by giving my senior dog DHA/EPA it will help with his arthritis. I like that each capsule has a good amount of DHA/EPA in them and that I only have to give him one. The list of inactive ingredients is short with Vitamin E, fish oil, gelatin, glycerine, water. The listing says the fish oil is sourced from anchovies. The snip tip is nice since my dog will sometimes pick capsules out of his food. I was able to twist and pull the tip off with my fingers rather than getting a pair of scissors out, then squeezed it onto his food. I got a drop or two of oil on my fingers doing it this way, but probably would’ve gotten oil on the scissors too if I’d used them, so it was easier to just wash my hands.The bottle lists it is a product of Columbia SA for Elanco located in Indiana. I like that there is a toll free phone number for the company on the bottle.I received product with 21 month dating.

This is a high-quality fish oil supplement. While they’re marketed for medium and large dogs, I found that these softgels are quite large and may be too big for many dogs. They are "snip tip" capsules, which means you can pour the oil over your dog’s food, which is convenient if you don’t mind a bit of mess. Personally, I’d rather avoid getting fish oil on my hands once or twice a day.I like that this fish oil is molecularly distilled (similar to the kind humans take) and includes the necessary preservatives to keep it fresh and free from oxidation. Overall, it’s a high-quality fish oil supplement for dogs, but just be prepared for the large softgels and be aware that you might need to use the snip tip feature.

These pills came in a great container. I like that they have an easy snip top. They are a bit too large for most dogs to eat whole.Unfortunately, all three of my dogs refuse these supplements, even mixed with food. I haven't had trouble feeding them fish oil supplements in the past so I don't know what it is about the smell of these that they don't like. I can't tell if they are working because my dogs won't eat it.3/5 stars because I don't think its a really bad product but I can't use it so it isn't good for me.

Capsule form or mix in food.The capsule has a handy little twist off so you can easily squeeze the Omega 3 supplement out of the capsule and mix it in their food. This is how I give the supplement to my dog.My dog has no problem eating this mixed in his food.Large bottle with 250 capsules that will last a long time as the dose is one per day.There are no real cons except it seems a little pricey but when you take in to account that this bottle will last 250 days the value is good.

So glad to get these capsules. I have always used fish oil as a health supplement for my dogs. Many years ago I was told to use fish oil for a dog with a poor appetite, it was very effective. Today I squirt one capsule on the food each time I refill the feeder. Great for their coats and overall health. The capsules are so easy to use: just a quick twist and squirt the oil on the food or directly into the mouth. The twist helps direct the oil and it enables use of all the oil in the capsule. This brand is (my opinion) the top of the line!

I've used several of pet protect products including the multivitamin for my dog. Elanco is a known manufacturer of pet medication that Vets prescribe and over the counter products. I was happy giving the multivitamin to my dog since I make my own dog food and the supplements cover anything else I may miss for my dog. I also give my dog Salmon and fish oil... so this Omega3 supplement is a good addition and rotation for his fish oil supplement. I would have preferred if this supplement was made in the USA, but their products have been vet formulated and been around for over 25 years so I will take an exception for this supplement. I gasp a bit at the price for the 250 capsules, but preventative supplements is cheaper than vet visits for me.
