Take your time , helper makes it much easier , some jiggling of bokts required .
I like it , nice well built winch bumper , fit my badlands apex 12000 perfect , looks like it was made for my winch . Mounting was good , had to drill out holes in truck just one size larger. Remember you are attempting to mount a solid one piece item where there were two tow strap hooks , 2000 f250 . I was amazed at how close the holes lined up . I removed the Truck bumper first , only takes 4 easy to get at bolts on front and a few plastic darts holding the rock/dirt guard . slide winch bumper in place , check hole alignment , mine was more an issue of drilling through 3 different layers of steel on truck frame , no big deal . installed bolts into winch bumper to check , then removed , replaced truck bumper . slid winch bumper back in , bolted it down , torgued bolts , done . It believe it was well worth a few minutes to remove truck bumper first . All said , it lines up perfect , looks great , easy install of winch too , after bumpers are all bolted back on . My wife and I did the whole job in about 3 hours or so ... Getting old ! Drove truck up on the ramps too , the extra space to work under is always a good idea ... Just be sure , safety , parking brake , rear wheel chocks ! Lost a good friend who did not make the job safe ! I dragged my F250 Desiel across dirt lot , parking brake on halfway , attached to a tree , No issues , bumper and winch shined .

Nice mount. Could not get one bolt to line up so only installed 2 on one side and 3 on the other. Due to the position of the bolt hole on the truck was not worth the trouble to remove major body parts to get to it to fit it. Still will be plenty strong. I had to cut some sheet metal out of the way to get it to slip into the place it fits. Not all the unusual considering I have been a professional mechanic for 45 years. If I could have got the last bolt in I would have given it 5 stars. Yes I would buy one again.

Heavy duty mount good value - installation is a PITA
*YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE MODIFICATIONS. As others have noted there are some issues with installation. In my case the bolts provided were too short and I had to buy longer bolts 1/4 " longer in order for it to engage the threads sufficiently. The threads on mine we're screwed up as well just like some others have experienced. So I had to run a tap through them to clean the threads. Also, the bolts on the outside of the frame are nearly impossible to install I managed to get all three of the bolts in on one side but could only get two out of the three in on the other side. Others have mentioned that they needed to use a grinder to clearance the area to install these and that's probably what's necessary to make it work. That's the extent of the modifications for the install. One thing I would also know is that this winch Mount sticks out about an inch from the bumper so there's a bit of a gap and I don't really care for the way it looks. It could have been designed to fit snugly up against the bumper and it would have looked a whole lot cleaner it would have given the impression that it's all one unit.Overall this is a good answer to the problem of how to mount a winch on your truck because the other solutions are much more expensive. If Fab Four's chose to engineer the product a little better and control their manufacturing process this would be a great product.

Good product, installation does require modification.
The product is very nice. The installation is not. To qualify I’ve been an ase certified mechanic for 8 years and hobbyist fabricator. I read other reviews and figured non mechanical people struggled. I had to torch a 2”x4” section out of the bumper mount. Then the holes in the frame do not fit the larger bolts that are required with this kit. Instructions should say remove bumper, enlarge bolt holes, loosely install bumper to start the mount bolts. Then tighten bumper then tighten mount bolts. Follow these instructions and it will go smooth.

fit.....with mods
Had to grind to get access to the bolts to remove the old hooks and install this. Otherwise.....fit well

this is a rock solid winch mout....I have 1999 ford super duty ..the bolt holes were about a 3/16th of an inch off but with a little fileing and grinding and finessing it fits perfectly now.

Put on 2001 Ford F350, with 17,500 Smitty Built winch. Bolts we're not long enough so had to get longer ones.
