I should have read the reviews before purchasing. ### ⭐⭐ Poor Workmanship and Quality Control *by P***R on June 27, 2019* I already have one of these I found a few years ago and wanted a new one. I was disappointed when I received this because the workmanship was unacceptably poor. The front clasp has changed. On my original, it is secured with two sturdy screws. On the new one, there are four tiny screws that were sloppily put in on angles and thus misaligned the mechanism to the point where it only allowed the lid to close unevenly. It was an obvious assembly defect that should have never made it past quality control but did. The rear hinges were not much better, installed unevenly with little care. As a result, there was a gap on one side when the lid was closed. The top surface was badly scratched as well, as if something abrasive was placed on top and dragged across it. My original does not look distressed, this one does. Bubble wrap was placed around the box and was in good condition so it obviously was wrapped already defective. I returned this, and judging from some Amazon Warehouse sales that disclose similar defects, this was not a one off.
