Birkenstock Sydney, Women's Sandals

I dare not say how many pairs of Birkenstock’s I own but they fit my feet really well and are comfy when walking generally and even for distances. I am a size 5/51/2 normally but most of my Birkenstock’s are 41/2, I think this is due to the larger footbed that they have.This pair arrived today and are bright and sunny and will go with all my summer clothes and I can’t wait to wear them! The straps come slightly higher up my foot than some of my others which gives you lots of support and keeps the sandal firmly in place when walking. Totally recommend.

I have worn Birkenstocks as my summer shoes for over twenty years. I love the easy comfort and the endless style choices. I usually have a few pairs on the go and I get new ones when I need to retire older pairs. I have always favoured the Madrid style but recently tried some others. Arizona & Sydney are two strap styles, I preferred the Sydney, it was a bit lighter looking on my small feet. I also loved the Mayari style which wraps around the big toe. I am not a fan of toe-post typé sandals but found these very comfortable. They look great and feel secure on your foot. My biggest challenge is always which colour to get, there are so many to choose from!

The comfiest shoes in the world at a great price! What more could you want? I got them for a holiday to Prague, 4 days of non stop walking and my feet didn't ache once! Give them a day or two to break and mould into your feet before walking too far in them though. They look nice too! I was finding it so difficult to find a nice pair of shoes to go with skirts/dresses that wouldn't kill my feet and these are perfect.

I'm usually a size 7/8 so to order 39 (6) seemed an improbability, however having tried a pair on in store I knew exactly which size to order. If you're new to Birkenstock, I suggest you do the same. These mules are fabulous. They are a lovely shade of pearly pink - not too much shine but just enough to be more interesting than the solid colours. Great quality and comfort, although they have taken some time to get used to. I love the feel of the footbed. Best of all, I bought them for only £26. Absolute bargain!

Slightly slimmer over the foot than the normal Birkenstock shoes. Narrow fitting and can be worn casual or dressed up at night with a long dress on holiday. Not as bulky to look at when you look down at your feet. Nice patent material with shiny buckles. Perfect size 5.5-6 shoe size.

I did my homework and measured my foot as per the guidance on the Birkenstock website to make sure I ordered the right size. I am a UK 4/EUR 37 usually but ordered a EUR 36 as per their site and fits like a glove. I believe this model only comes in narrow fit so I would really recommend measuring your feet as you may need to size up if they are wide.

Love these! Normally I get blisters in sandals but these are like slippers. Very impressed. Added bonus that they look good too!

Sadly due to a little of my own stupidity, for not reading reviews on the birkenstocks . They have had to be returned as they are really quite narrow. I own several other pairs of birkenstocks, and love them they are so comfortable ; and great value as last for years . I have always bought a 6 even though I'm generally a 7 as they tend to come up a bit larger than expected. I wish the seller had stated they were a narrow fitting on the page for sizes available. As this would have stopped me ordering them, and having to pay delivery and now, to have them returned as have had issues with returns . So a bit of a let down as the style was just what I wanted.
