I have an old Win98 & WinXP PC I still need to use sometimes. This unit does not work well with them. The problem is that once it switches to the 1st PC (even when it is OFF), it will not switch back to the 2nd PC. The only way to get it to switch is to unplug the cable to the 1st PC (meaning manually switching, so the box does nothing). I purchased an IOGEAR GCS1724 to replace it & it works fine.
